1. A vascular implant delivery device comprising:
- an elongated member sized for delivery within a vascular system and having a distal end and a proximal end;
a pusher element connected to and sliding relative to said elongated member; and
,an implant releasably connected to said pusher element;
wherein said pusher element is configured to slide towards said distal end of said elongated member to deploy said implant while said distal end of said elongated member maintains a fixed position within said vascular system.
