Abstract

Disclosed is a an in-cell type display device including a touch screen function which is capable of preventing a luminance from being changed in accordance with a viewing angle, and omitting a process of connecting touch electrodes provided in an upper substrate with Tx driver and Rx driver connected with a lower substrate, wherein the display device includes a lower substrate, a thin film transistor layer including thin film transistors provided on the lower substrate, an encapsulation layer provided on the thin film transistor layer, color filters provided on the encapsulation layer, a black matrix provided between the color filters and provided on the encapsulation layer, and first touch electrodes overlapped with the black matrix.

Claims

1. A display device including a touch screen function comprising:

a lower substrate;

a thin film transistor layer including thin film transistors overlying the lower substrate;

an electrically insulating encapsulation layer overlying the thin film transistor layer;

color filters overlying the encapsulation layer;

a black matrix positioned between the color filters and overlying the encapsulation layer; and

first touch lines that are aligned with the black matrix.

2. The display device according to claim 1 further comprising:

second touch lines overlying the black matrix; and

wherein the first touch lines are in contact with the encapsulation layer, and the black matrix directly overlays and covers the first touch lines.

3. The display device according to claim 1 further comprising an insulating film covering the first touch lines on the black matrix;

and

second touch lines provided on the insulating film and overlapped with the black matrix,

wherein the first touch lines are provided on top of the black matrix.

4. The display device according to claim 1 further comprising second touch lines provided in the same layer as the first touch lines,

wherein the first touch lines are provided on the encapsulation layer, and the black matrix covers the first and second touch lines.

5. The display device according to claim 4, wherein the first touch lines are in contact with bridge electrodes provided on the black matrix and the color filters via a contact hole penetrating through the black matrix.

6. The display device according to claim 5 further comprising another black matrix provided on the bridge electrodes,

wherein the another black matrix overlaps with the black matrix.

7. The display device according to claim 2, wherein the first touch lines are connected with each other in a first direction, and the second touch lines are connected with each other in a second direction which intersects with the first direction.

8. The display device according to claim 2, wherein each of the first and second touch lines are connected with each other in a mesh structure.

9. The display device according to claim 8, wherein the first touch lines of the mesh structure serve as first touch electrodes which driving pulses are applied to, and the second touch lines of the mesh structure serve as second touch electrodes for sensing a change of charge amount.

10. The display device according to claim 1, further comprising:

anode electrodes connected with the thin film transistors;

an organic light emitting layer provided on the anode electrodes; and

a cathode electrode provided on the organic light emitting layer,

wherein the encapsulation layer encapsulates the cathode electrode.

11. The display device according to claim 1,

wherein the encapsulation layer includes at least one organic layer and at least one inorganic layer.
