Abstract

A system may generate a first transaction history from a plurality of records of charge. The system may select a plurality of merchants based on the plurality of records of charge, and generate a first user profile in response to the first transaction history and the plurality of merchants. The first user profile may comprise a merchant score for a merchant appearing in the first transaction history. The first transaction history may include transaction account issuer data. The system may receive a request for content that identifies a user account associated with the first user profile. The system may further generate the content based on the merchant score in response to the request for the content. The request may be automatically generated by the application or may be in response to an action by the first user.

Claims

1. A method comprising:

receiving, by a processor, a search parameter that identifies a travel preference associated with a user profile;

retrieving, by the processor, a search result matching the travel preference associated with the user profile,

wherein the search result includes result characteristics derived from closed-loop data,

wherein the closed-loop data comprises a transaction history; and

relating, by the processor, at least one of a good or a service to the search result by identifying a first transaction involving the good or the service and identifying a second transaction involving the search result,

wherein the transaction history comprises the first transaction and the second transaction.

2. The method of claim 1, further comprising refining, by the processor, the search result in response to a user selecting a choice between two or more options.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein the result characteristics include a popularity with at a segment including least one of repeat visitors, international travelers, premium travelers, business travelers, or domestic travelers.

4. The method of claim 1, further comprising filtering, by the processor, the search result in response to the search result matching a user preference, wherein the user preference is entered by a user.

5. The method of claim 1, further comprising receiving, by the processor, a second search parameter including at least one of an origin location or a travel date, wherein the search result matches the search parameter.

6. The method of claim 1, wherein the search result is retrieved by submitting an application programming interface (API) query to a web service, wherein the web service is configured to retrieve the search result from a filesystem maintained on a distributed computing cluster.

7. The method of claim 1, further comprising selecting, by the processor, the search result based on the search result appearing in a second transaction history of a second user profile, wherein the second user profile at least partially matches the user profile.

8. A computer-based system, comprising:

a processor;

a tangible, non-transitory memory configured to communicate with the processor, the tangible, non-transitory memory having instructions stored thereon that, in response to execution by the processor, cause the processor to perform operations comprising;

receiving, by the processor, a search parameter that identifies a travel preference associated with a user profile;

retrieving, by the processor, a search result matching the travel preference associated with the user profile,

wherein the search result includes result characteristics derived from closed-loop data,

wherein the closed-loop data comprises a transaction history; and

relating, by the processor, at least one of a good or a service to the search result by identifying a first transaction involving the good or the service and identifying a second transaction involving the search result,

wherein the transaction history comprises the first transaction and the second transaction.

9. The computer-based system of claim 8, further comprising refining, by the processor, the search result in response to a user selecting a choice between two or more options.

10. The computer-based system of claim 8, wherein the result characteristics include a popularity with at a segment including least one of repeat visitors, international travelers, premium travelers, business travelers, or domestic travelers.

11. The computer-based system of claim 8, further comprising filtering, by the processor, the search result in response to the search result matching a user preference, wherein the user preference is entered by a user.

12. The computer-based system of claim 8, further comprising receiving, by the processor, a second search parameter including at least one of an origin location or a travel date, wherein the search result matches the search parameter.

13. The computer-based system of claim 8, wherein the search result is retrieved by submitting an application programming interface (API) query to a web service, wherein the web service is configured to retrieve the search result from a filesystem maintained on a distributed computing cluster.

14. The computer-based system of claim 8, further comprising selecting, by the processor, the search result based on the search result appearing in a second transaction history of a second user profile, wherein the second user profile at least partially matches the user profile.

15. An article of manufacture including a non-transitory, tangible computer readable storage medium having instructions stored thereon that, in response to execution by a computer-based system, cause the computer-based system to perform operations comprising:

receiving, by a processor, a search parameter that identifies a travel preference associated with a user profile;

retrieving, by the processor, a search result matching the travel preference associated with the user profile,

wherein the search result includes result characteristics derived from closed-loop data,

wherein the closed-loop data comprises a transaction history; and

relating, by the processor, at least one of a good or a service to the search result by identifying a first transaction involving the good or the service and identifying a second transaction involving the search result,

wherein the transaction history comprises the first transaction and the second transaction.

16. The article of claim 15, further comprising refining, by the processor, the search result in response to a user selecting a choice between two or more options.

17. The article of claim 15, wherein the result characteristics include a popularity with at a segment including least one of repeat visitors, international travelers, premium travelers, business travelers, or domestic travelers.

18. The article of claim 15, further comprising filtering, by the processor, the search result in response to the search result matching a user preference, wherein the user preference is entered by a user.

19. The article of claim 15, further comprising receiving, by the processor, a second search parameter including at least one of an origin location or a travel date, wherein the search result matches the search parameter.

20. The article of claim 15, wherein the search result is retrieved by submitting an application programming interface (API) query to a web service, wherein the web service is configured to retrieve the search result from a filesystem maintained on a distributed computing cluster.
