LIGHT AND/OR ULTRASONIC TRANSDUCER DEVICE WITH ELECTRICAL STIMULATION
First Claim
1. A flexible device having a layered structure for delivering electrical stimulation and one or both of light and ultrasound to a skin surface, comprising:
- a plurality of flexible conductive layers connectable to a power source;
one or both of (a) a flexible light emitter layer positioned between two of the flexible conductive layers, wherein the flexible light emitter layer is configured to emit light when driven by the power source and (b) a flexible ultrasound emitter layer positioned between two of the flexible conductive layers, wherein the flexible ultrasound emitter layer is configured to produce ultrasound when driven by the power source; and
a flexible electrical stimulation layer connectable to the power source, wherein the flexible electrical stimulation layer functions as an electrode and is configured to provide electrical stimulation when driven by the power source.

Abstract
A flexible device having a layered structure for delivering electrical stimulation and one or both of light and ultrasound to a skin surface is provided. The device is flexible so as to form a non-planar contact surface against the skin surface, and includes one or both of (a) a flexible light emitter layer positioned between two flexible conductive layers that emits light when driven by a power source and (b) a flexible ultrasound emitter layer positioned between two flexible conductive layers that produces ultrasound when driven by a power source. The device also includes a flexible electrical stimulation layer that functions as an electrode and is configured to provide electrical stimulation when driven by a power source.

21. A system for delivering electrical stimulation and one or both of light and ultrasound to a skin surface, comprising:

a flexible device capable of forming a non-planar contact surface against the skin surface, wherein the device comprises (a) one of a flexible light source or a flexible ultrasonic transducer and (b) a flexible electrode configured to provide electrical stimulation when driven by the power source; an electronic circuit electrically coupled to the flexible device, wherein the electronic circuit comprises a power source and a controller, wherein the controller is operable to control the flexible device such that (a) the flexible light source emits light when driven by the power source or the flexible ultrasonic transducer produces ultrasound when driven by the power source and (b) the flexible electrode provides electrical stimulation when driven by the power source. - View Dependent Claims (22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46)
