Abstract

A system for digitally verifying credential sets and its method of use are provided. A credentials set is made up of a number of credentials, each linked to a particular Entity. If all of the credentials are validated and verified, then the credentials'"'"' status identifier will be set to a value. If the various status identifiers meet a predetermined value, the set will be verified and digitally signed.

Claims

1. A system, comprising:

a memory that stores computer-executable instructions; and

a processor, communicatively coupled to said memory that facilitates execution of the computer-executable instructions which provides a Credential set comprising;

at least one Credential having at least one item of legitimate information and a status identifier;

wherein the system validates the format of the at least one Credential and determines whether the status identifier of the Credential satisfies a verification parameter of a Credential set,

wherein said system transforms the status identifier into a set status identifier, and

wherein said system uses the set status identifier to verify the Credential set, provided that the set status identifier meets a predetermined value.

2. The system of claim 1, wherein said system digitally signs the verified Credential set.

3. The system of claim 1, wherein the Credential set is digital.

4. The system of claim 1, wherein said at least one Credential is associated with a disassociated identifier.

5. The system of claim 1, wherein said Credential set is comprised of a second Credential set and at least one Credential.

6. The system of claim 1, wherein said at least one Credential may not be modified.

7. The system of claim 1, wherein said at least one Credential is provided by a Primary Source Data provider.

8. The system of claim 1, wherein said Credential set may be modified.

9. The system of claim 1, wherein an Entity may endorse said Credential set.

10. The system of claim 1, wherein said at least one item of information is selected from the group consisting of:

type, Issuer, claim, date issued, title, carrier, license, state, driver, birth date, address, expiration date, Signature graph, public key and identity.

11. A method for Interdependent Credential Verification of a set, comprising the steps of:

providing, at least one Credential, said at least one Credential comprising at least one item of legitimate information and at least one status identifier;

defining, a Credential set comprising at least one Credential, comprising

at least one item of information, and

a status identifier;

validating, the format of said at least one Credential;

determining whether the at least one Credential satisfies the parameter of the Credential set;

transforming, said status identifier into a set status identifier; and

verifying said Credential set, provided that said set status identifier meets a predetermined value.

12. The method of claim 11, further comprising, the system digitally signing said verified Credential set.

13. The method of claim 11, where at least one item of information is legitimate.

14. The method of claim 11, wherein said at least one Credential is associated with a disassociated identifier.

15. The method of claim 11, wherein said Credential set is comprised of a second Credential set and at least one Credential.

16. The method of claim 11, wherein said at least one Credential may not be modified.

17. The method of claim 11, wherein said at least one Credential is provided by a Primary Source Data provider.

18. The method of claim 11, wherein said Credential set may be modified.

19. The method of claim 11 wherein an Entity may endorse said Credential set.

20. The method of claim 11, wherein said at least one item of legitimate information is selected from the group consisting of:

type, Issuer, claim, date issued, title, carrier, license, state, driver, birth date, address, expiration date, Signature graph, public key and identity.

22. The method of claim 20, wherein the Credential is part of a super set.

23. The method of claim 20, wherein the Credential is part of a subset.

25. The method of claim 22, wherein the Credential or the Credential set may be verified.

26. The method of claim 20, wherein the verification of the subset or the super set may be used as satisfaction of the Credentials contained therein.

27. The method of claim 20, wherein the Credential set is digital.

21. A method for Interdependent Credential Verification of a set, comprising the steps of:

associating, via a processor, meta-data with a Credential which is linked to a decentralized identifier;

formatting, via a processor, the Credential Assertion as JSON-LD;

signing, via a processor said Credential Assertion with a private key;

curating, via a processor, the signed Credential with an identity provider; and

verifying, via a processor, the Credential meta-data with a public key.

24. The method of claim 21, wherein the super set is comprised of at least one other Credential subset and at least one additional Credential.
