Abstract

A system, method and personal area network for communicating utilizing a wireless earpiece. The wireless earpiece is linked with a communications device. Sensor measurements of a condition of a user are performed utilizing sensors of the wireless earpiece. A determination is made whether the sensor measurements exceed one or more thresholds. Communications regarding the sensor measurements are sent from the wireless earpiece to the communications device regarding the condition of the user.

Claims

1. A method for communicating utilizing a wireless earpiece, comprising:

linking the wireless earpiece with a communications device;

performing sensor measurements of a condition of a user utilizing sensors of the wireless earpiece;

determining whether the sensor measurements exceed one or more thresholds; and

sending communications regarding, the sensor measurements from the wireless earpiece to the communications device regarding the condition of the user.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the wireless earpieces are linked with the communications device utilizing a Bluetooth connection.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein a plurality of wireless earpieces communicate with the communications device to send communications regarding the condition of each of a plurality of users associated with each of the plurality of wireless earpieces.

4. The method of claim 3, wherein the plurality of users are engaged in an activity together.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein the sensor measurements include biometric readings of the user include at least pulse, voice or audio output and user experienced forces.

6. The method of claim 1, wherein the user experienced forces indicates that the user has potentially suffered a concussion.

7. The method of claim 1, wherein the wireless earpieces communicate with other wearable sensors to determine whether the one or more threshold have been exceeded.

8. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

logging the sensor measurements for subsequent review.

9. The method of claim 1, further comprising;

communicating with a plurality of users utilizing a plurality of wireless earpieces from the wireless earpiece.

10. The method of claim 1, wherein the wireless earpiece is one of a pair of wireless earpieces utilized by the user.

11. The method of claim 1, wherein the sensors include at least one gyroscope accelerometer, ear hone microphone, and thermometer.

12. The method of claim 1, wherein the wireless earpiece includes a sleeve for maintaining the wireless earpiece in the ear of the user.

13. A wireless earpiece, comprising:

a frame for fitting in an ear of a user;

a logic engine controlling functionality of the wireless earpiece;

a plurality of sensors receiving biometric information from the user;

a transceiver communicating with at least a wireless device;

wherein the plurality of sensors take sensor measurements of a condition of a user, wherein the logic engine determines whether the sensor measurements exceed one or more thresholds, and wherein the transceiver sends communications regarding the sensor measurements from the wireless earpiece to the wireless device.

14. The wireless earpiece of claim 13, wherein the transceiver establishes a Bluetooth link with the wireless de ice

15. The wireless earpiece of claim 13, wherein the transceiver communicates with a plurality of wireless earpieces.

16. The wireless earpiece of claim 13, wherein the sensor measurements include biometric readings of the user include at least pulse, voice or audio output, and user experienced forces.

17. The wireless earpiece of claim 13, wherein the user experienced forces indicates that the user has potentially suffered a concussion.

18. The wireless earpiece of claim 17, further comprising;

a memory in communication with the logic engine, wherein the memory stores the sensor measurements for subsequent review.

19. The wireless earpiece of claim 13, Wherein the user input is received by a position or location of the user.

20. A wireless earpieces comprising:

a processor for executing a set of instructions; and

a memory for storing the set of instructions, wherein the set of instructions are executed to;

link the wireless earpiece with a communications device;

perform sensor measurements of a condition of a user utilizing sensors of the wireless earpiece;

determine whether the sensor measurements exceed one or more thresholds; and

send communications from the wireless earpiece to the communications device regarding the condition of the user.
