Abstract

A seat for vehicle includes a skin, a substrate to which the skin is applied, and a connection structure for connecting the substrate and the skin. The skin includes a first skin part, and a second skin part made of a soft material for connecting the first skin part and the connection structure. The connection structure includes a first fold-back portion integrally formed with the second skin part, and a second fold-back portion disposed on the substrate. The first fold-back portion is fitted with the second fold-back portion.

Claims

1. A seat for vehicle comprising:

a skin;

a substrate to which the skin is applied; and

a connection structure for connecting the substrate and the skin, wherein;

the skin includes a first skin part, and a second skin part made of a soft material for connecting the first skin part and the connection structure;

the connection structure includes a first fold-back portion integrally formed with the second skin part, and a second fold-back portion disposed on the substrate; and

the first fold-back portion is fitted with the second fold-back portion.

2. The seat for vehicle according to claim 1, wherein:

each of the first and the second fold-back portions includes a groove with a U-like cross section; and

the groove of the first fold-back portion is fitted with the groove of the second fold-back portion.

3. The seat for vehicle according to claim 2, wherein:

the first fold-back portion includes a first section which is folded back in a direction of the seat back, and a second section which is folded back from the first section to a direction of the first skin part; and

the second fold-back portion includes a third section which is folded back in a direction of the first skin part;

a fourth section which is folded back from the third section to a direction of the second skin part; and

a fifth section which is folded back from the fourth section to a direction opposite to the first skin part.

4. The seat for vehicle according to claim 1, further comprising a knob extending from an end of the second skin part.

5. The seat for vehicle according to claim 1, wherein:

the connection structure further includes a first protruding member integrally formed with the second skin part, and a first hole formed in the substrate;

the first protruding member includes a shaft portion extending in a direction of the substrate, and a head portion disposed on a tip end of the shaft portion; and

the first protruding member is fitted with the first hole.

6. The seat for vehicle according to claim 1, wherein:

the connection structure further includes a second protruding member integrally formed with the second skin part, and a second hole formed in the substrate;

the second protruding member includes a section extending in a direction of the substrate, and a section extending in an upward direction of the substrate from a tip end of the section; and

the second protruding member is fitted with the second hole.

7. The seat for vehicle according to claim 1, wherein the second skin part is connected to a peripheral edge of the first skin part.

8. The seat for vehicle according to claim 7, wherein the peripheral edge of the first skin part, and a peripheral edge of the second skin part are sewn together.

9. The seat for vehicle according to claim 1, wherein the soft material is one of an elastomer, a soft resin, a formed nonwoven fabric, an equivalent thereto, and a combination thereof.

10. The seat for vehicle according to claim 1, wherein the substrate is one of a backboard supported by a frame of the seat back, and the backboard functioning as the frame.

11. The seat for vehicle according to claim 1, wherein the substrate is a frame of a seat cushion.

12. A seat for vehicle comprising:

a skin;

a substrate to which the skin is applied; and

a connection structure for connecting the substrate and the skin, wherein;

the skin includes a first skin part, and a second skin part made of a soft material for connecting the first skin part and the connection structure;

the connection structure includes a protruding member integrally formed with the second skin part, and a hole formed in the substrate;

the protruding member includes an insertion part extending in a direction of the substrate, and a knob extending from an end of the second skin part;

the insertion part includes a shaft portion extending in a direction of the substrate, and a head portion disposed on a tip end of the shaft portion; and

the insertion part is fitted with the hole.

13. The seat for vehicle according to claim 12, wherein a diameter of the hole is smaller than a diameter of the head portion.

14. The seat for vehicle according to claim 13, wherein the second skin part is connected to a peripheral edge of the first skin part.

15. The seat for vehicle according to claim 14, wherein the peripheral edges of the first skin part and the second skin part are sewn.

16. The seat for vehicle according to claim 12, wherein the soft material is one of an elastomer, a soft resin, a formed nonwoven fabric, an equivalent thereto, and a combination thereof.

17. The seat for vehicle according to claim 12, wherein the substrate is one of a frame of a seat back, a backboard supported by the frame of the seat back, and the backboard serving as the frame.

18. The seat for vehicle according to claim 12, wherein the substrate is one of a frame of a seat cushion, and a side cover of the seat cushion.
