Abstract

Implementations of the disclosure provide for to remotely testing operational components of a mobile device. In one implementation, a method is provided. The method includes providing, by a server processing device, instructions to a mobile device for a user to interact with a component of the mobile device. Data associated with an operation of the component in view of the instructions is received. The received data is compared to a model input characterizing a functional level associated with the operation of the component. Thereupon, it is determined whether there is a depleted operation of the component in view of the comparison.

Claims

1. A computer-implemented method, comprising:

providing, by a server processing device, instructions to a mobile device for a user to interact with a component of the mobile device;

receiving, by the server processing device, input associated with an operation of the component in view of the instructions;

comparing, by the server processing device, the received input with a model input characterizing a functional level associated with the operation of the component; and

determining, by the server processing device, whether there is a depleted operation of the component in view of the comparison.

2. The method of claim 1, further comprising responsive to determining that the component is operational in accordance with a vendor specific, generating a diagnostic message regarding the mobile device to send to a carrier processing device to provision products for the mobile device.

3. The method of claim 1, further comprising generating an error metric based on a difference between the received input and the model input.

4. The method of claim 3, further comprising determining whether the error metric meets a threshold level for the component.

5. The method of claim 1, further comprising storing results of the determination with a unique identifier associated with the mobile device.

6. The method of claim 5, further comprising:

determining that the component is operational; and

providing the results of the determination at a display indicating that products are available for the mobile device.

7. The method of claim 1, wherein the received input comprises sensor data indicating whether the mobile device was exposed to a sudden impact or an element that affected the component.

8. A system comprising:

a method to store operating parameters; and

a processing device, operatively coupled to the memory, to;

provide instructions to operate a first component of a mobile device according a set of operating parameters;

measure input produced by a second component of the mobile device based on the operation of the first component;

compare the measured input with a model input charactering functional operation of the first and second components; and

determine whether there is a depleted operation of the first or second component in view of the comparison.

9. The system of claim 8, wherein the processing device is further to:

provide a multimedia file in accordance with the operating parameters, the multimedia file being recorded at a frequency and amplitude level;

execute the multimedia file with the first component; and

determine whether the measured input produced by the second component corresponds with the frequency and amplitude level.

10. The system of claim 8, wherein the processing device is further to, responsive to determining that the component is operational in accordance with a vendor specific, generate a diagnostic message regarding the mobile device to send to a carrier processing device to provision products for the mobile device.

11. The system of claim 8, wherein the processing device is further to generate an error metric based on a difference between the measured input and the model input.

12. The system of claim 11, wherein the processing device is further to determine whether the error metric meets a threshold level for the component.

13. The method of claim 8, wherein the processing device is further to store results of the determination with a unique identifier associated with the mobile device.

14. The system of claim 13, wherein the processing device is further to:

determine that the component is; and

transmit the results of the determination to a display indicating that products are available for the mobile device.

15. A non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising instructions that, when executed by a processing device, cause the processing device to:

provide, by the processing device, instructions to a mobile device for a user to interact with a component of the mobile device;

receive input associated with an operation of the component in view of the instructions;

compare the received input with respect to a model input characterizing a functional level associated with the operation of the component; and

determine whether there is a depleted operation of the component view of the comparison.

16. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15, wherein the processing device is further to, responsive to determining that the component is operational in accordance with a vendor specific, generate a diagnostic message regarding the mobile device to send to a carrier processing device to provision products for the mobile device.

17. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15, wherein the processing device is further to generate an error metric based on a difference between the received input and the model input.

18. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 17, wherein the processing device is further to determine whether the error metric meets a threshold level for the component.

19. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15, wherein the processing device is further to store results of the determination with a unique identifier associated with the mobile device.

20. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 19, wherein the processing device is further to:

determine that the component is operational; and

providing the results of the determination at a display indicating that products are available for the mobile device.
