Abstract
The present invention is generally related to a device and method for sanitizing a medical instrument with ozone, in particular the invention relates to a system, method and a device for sanitizing a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) device. The device has an ozone compartment, an ozone operating system and one or more ozone distribution lines that distribute ozone to a continuous positive airway pressure device. The device may further include a heater adapter unit to connect heating systems in CPAP devices while distributing ozone to sanitize the CPAP device in accordance with the present invention.

21. An ozone treatment system comprising an ozone operating system, an ozone distribution line, a medical device comprising a liquid reservoir, an ozone conveyance line, and a gas tight chamber comprising a cavity;
wherein; a proximal end of said ozone distribution line is coupled to the ozone operating system; said ozone distribution line is further coupled to said medical device, such that the distal end of said ozone distribution line is within said liquid reservoir; said medical device is coupled to a proximal end of said ozone conveyance line; said gas tight chamber is configured to receive a distal end of said ozone conveyance line; and said ozone operating system is configured to generate ozone gas for delivery by said ozone distribution line to said liquid reservoir, from said liquid reservoir to said ozone conveyance line, and from said ozone conveyance line to said cavity of said gas tight chamber. - View Dependent Claims (22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 28, 29)
