an airtight chamber configured to receive comestibles to be cooked within the chamber; an air pressure release valve, held in closed position by a magnetic coupling, configured to open and remain open under urging from air pressure within the chamber, and the valve being configured to again close when such valve opening results in air pressure within the chamber being reduced below a predetermined level; and a heat source configured to heat comestibles within the chamber to a cooking temperature.
