Abstract

Methods, systems, and computer program products includes, for example, detecting a first personal electronic device associated with a first user in the presence of a second personal electronic device associated with a second user, determining the first personal electronic device in the presence of the second personal electronic device being associated with the first user and the second user being in a business setting, receiving user data regarding the second user in response to the determination of the first user and the second user being in the business setting, and storing the received user data regarding the second user in a first memory for access by the first user on the first personal electronic device.

Claims

1. A method comprising:

detecting, by one or more processor, a first personal electronic device associated with a first user in the presence of a second personal electronic device associated with a second user;

determining, by the one or more processor, the first personal electronic device in the presence of the second personal electronic device being associated with the first user and the second user being in a business setting;

receiving, by the one or more processor, user data regarding the second user in response to the determination of the first user and the second user being in the business setting; and

storing, by the one or more processor, the received user data regarding the second user in a first memory for access by the first user on the first personal electronic device.

The method of claim 1 further comprising receiving, by the one or more processor, user data regarding the first user in response to the determination of the first personal electronic device in the presence of the second personal electronic device being associated with the first user and the second user being in a business setting, and storing, by the one or more processor, the retrieved user data regarding the first user in a second memory for access by the second user on the second personal electronic device

The method of claim 1 further comprising forwarding, by the one or more processor, a request for the user data regarding the second user in response to determination the first personal electronic device in the presence of the second personal electronic device being associated with the first user and the second user being in a business setting.

4. The method of claim 1 further comprising establishing, by the one or more processor, a social media connection between the first user and the second user.

5. The method of claim 1 wherein the determining comprises determining a location of the first personal electronic device.

6. The method of claim 5 wherein the determining comprises determining an identity of the location.

7. The method of claim 1 wherein the determining comprises determining motion characteristics of the first personal electronic device.

8. The method of claim 7 wherein the determining comprises determining a handshake between the first user and the second user based on the motion characteristics of the first personal electronic device.

9. The method of claim 7 wherein the determining comprises determining a handshake between the first user and the second user based on the motion characteristics of the first personal electronic device, and a proximity of the first personal electronic device relative to the second personal electronic device.

10. The method of claim 1 wherein the determining comprises accessing a calendar entry.

11. The method of claim 1 wherein the determining comprises determining an amount of time of the first personal electronic device associated with a first user being at rest and being in the presence of a second personal electronic device associated with a second user.

12. The method of claim 1 wherein the determining comprises determining a proximity of the first personal electronic device relative to the second personal electronic device.

13. The method of claim 1 wherein the determining comprises confirming the business setting based on the user data of the second user.

14. The method of claim 1 wherein the determining comprises confirming the business setting based on a role or company associated of the user data of the second user.

15. The method of claim 1 wherein the determining comprises determining a frequency of the first personal electronic device associated with the first user being in the presence of the second personal electronic device associated with the second user.

16. The method of claim 1 wherein the user data regarding the second user comprises the user'"'"'s name, a company, a telephone number, and/or an email address.

17. The method of claim 1 wherein the determining comprises using user selected settings.

18. The method of claim 1 wherein the first personal electronic device comprises a wrist worn personal electronic device and/or a smartphone.

19. A computer program product comprising:

a computer readable storage medium readable by one or more processing unit and storing instructions for execution by one or more processor for performing a method comprising;

detecting a first personal electronic device associated with a first user in the presence of a second personal electronic device associated with a second user;

determining the first personal electronic device in the presence of the second personal electronic device being associated with the first user and the second user being in a business setting;

receiving user data regarding the second user in response to the determination of the first user and the second user being in the business setting; and

storing the received user data regarding the second user in a first memory for access by the first user on the first personal electronic device.

20. A system comprising:

a memory;

one or more processor in communication with the memory; and

program instructions executable by the one or more processor via the memory to perform a method comprising;

detecting a first personal electronic device associated with a first user in the presence of a second personal electronic device associated with a second user;

determining the first personal electronic device in the presence of the second personal electronic device being associated with the first user and the second user being in a business setting;

receiving user data regarding the second user in response to the determination of the first user and the second user being in the business setting; and

storing the received user data regarding the second user in a first memory for access by the first user on the first personal electronic device.
