1. A display assembly for mounting on a vehicle comprising:
- a first and second electronic display positioned back to back;
a first and second transparent panel, each positioned in front of one of the first and second electronic displays;
an open loop pathway located between the first and second electronic displays and configured to receive ambient air;
a closed loop pathway configured to receive circulating gas and comprising;
a first and second channel defined by the first and second transparent panels and the first and second electronic displays, respectively, anda plenum located between the first and second electronic displays and in gaseous communication with the channels; and
a housing adapted to be mounted to the roof of a vehicle, wherein the housing and the first and second transparent panels create an enclosure substantially surrounding the first and second electronic displays, the open loop pathway, and the closed loop pathway;
wherein the closed loop pathway and the open loop pathway are configured to transfer thermal energy from the circulating gas to the ambient air while not allow the circulating gas and the ambient air to mix in any substantial manner.

Abstract
A pair of electronic displays are placed back to back and are configured for mounting to a vehicle. A pair of thermal plates are located behind the electronic displays and a pair of transparent plates are located in front of the electronic displays. A closed loop of air travels vertically through the space between the electronic displays and transparent panels and through a closed loop plenum. An open loop of air travels horizontally through the space between thermal plates and the rear surface of the electronic displays.
