Abstract

An instruction device includes: a detection unit that detects a space in which the instruction device exists; a storage unit that stores association information including information indicating that the space and a target device are associated with each other; a specifying unit that specifies the target device associated with the detected space by referring to the association information; and an output unit that outputs an instruction signal corresponding to the specified target device in accordance with an operation by an operator.

Claims

1. An instruction device comprising:

a detection unit that detects a space in which the instruction device exists;

a storage unit that stores association information including information indicating that the space and a target device are associated with each other;

a specifying unit that specifies the target device associated with the detected space by referring to the association information; and

an output unit that outputs an instruction signal corresponding to the specified target device in accordance with an operation by an operator.

2. The instruction device according to claim 1,

wherein the detection unit receives a radio signal propagating through the space,

the radio signal includes identification information indicating a transmission source of the radio signal,

the association information includes information indicating that the space and the identification information are associated with each other, and

the detection unit detects the space associated with the identification information included in the received radio signal as the space in which the instruction device exists, by referring to the association information.

3. The instruction device according to claim 2,

wherein the radio signal includes a plurality of radio signals,

the detection unit obtains strength of each of the plurality of radio signals,

the detection unit detects a radio signal having maximum strength among the plurality of radio signals, and

the detection unit detects the space associated with identification information included in the radio signal having the maximum strength, as the space where the instruction device exists, by referring to the association information.

4. The instruction device according to claim 1, further comprising:

a reception unit that receives an operation input indicating selection of any one of a plurality of target devices; and

a setting unit that causes the storage unit to store information indicating that a space detected by the detection unit and the target device indicated by the operation input are associated with each other.

5. The instruction device according to claim 1,

wherein the space is a first space, and the target device is a first target device, and

the association information includes first information indicating that the first space and the first target device are associated with each other, and second information indicating that a second space different from the first space and a second target device different from the first target device are associated with each other.

6. The instruction device according to claim 1, wherein the specified target device operates based on the instruction signal.

7. The instruction device according to claim 1,

wherein the association information includes information indicating that the target device and an instruction signal corresponding to the target device are associated with each other, and

the specifying unit specifies the instruction signal associated with the target device, by referring to the association information.

8. A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium storing a program that causes an instruction device to execute:

detecting a space in which the instruction device exists;

specifying a target device associated with the detected space by referring to the association information including information indicating that the space and the target device are associated with each other; and

outputting an instruction signal corresponding to the specified target device in accordance with an operation by an operator.

10. The instruction system according to claim 8, wherein the master device is a target device that operates based on an instruction signal.

9. An instruction system comprising a target device, a master device, and an instruction device that communicates with the master device, the master device comprising at least one of:

a detection unit that detects a space in which the instruction device exists;

a storage unit that stores association information including information indicating that the space and a target device are associated with each other;

a specifying unit that specifies the target device associated with the detected space by referring to the association information; and

an output unit that outputs an instruction signal corresponding to the specified target device in accordance with an operation by an operator.

11. An instruction method that includes:

detecting a space in which the instruction device exists;

specifying a target device associated with the detected space by referring to the association information including information indicating that the space and the target device are associated with each other; and

outputting an instruction signal corresponding to the specified target device in accordance with an operation by an operator.
