Abstract

Provided is a wireless power receiver for wirelessly receiving power from a wireless power transmitter, including a resonator that wirelessly receives power from the wireless power transmitter, a communication module that performs communication with the wireless power transmitter, and a controller that transmits manufacturer information on the wireless power receiver to the wireless power transmitter through the communication module, receives an authority over whether to allow each of at least one function of the wireless power receiver through the communication module, and performs a function allowed for the wireless power receiver based on the authority.

Claims

1. A wireless power receiver for wirelessly receiving power from a wireless power transmitter, the wireless power receiver comprising:

a resonator that wirelessly receives power from the wireless power transmitter;

a communication module that performs communication with the wireless power transmitter; and

a controller transmits manufacturer information on the wireless power receiver to the wireless power transmitter through the communication module, receives authority over whether to allow each of at least one function of the wireless power receiver to be performed through the communication module, and performs a function allowed for the wireless power receiver based on the authority.

2. The wireless power receiver of claim 1, wherein the communication module transmits a power receiving unit static parameter signal comprising the manufacturer information on the wireless power receiver.

3. The wireless power receiver of claim 1, wherein the authority comprises at least one handle value of the at least one function of the wireless power receiver and a flag corresponding to each of the at least one handle value.

4. The wireless power receiver of claim 3, wherein each of the at least one handle value comprises an offset from a generic attribute profile (GATT) primary service base handle.

5. The wireless power receiver of claim 4, wherein the offset is 51 or greater.

6. The wireless power receiver of claim 3, wherein the controller performs the allowed function based on a handle value corresponding to the allowed function.

7. The wireless power receiver of claim 1, wherein the controller receives the manufacturer information on the wireless power transmitter from the wireless power transmitter through the communication module.

8. The wireless power receiver of claim 7, wherein the communication module receives a power transmitting unit static parameter signal comprising the manufacture information on the wireless power transmitter.

9. The wireless power receiver of claim 7, wherein the controller performs the allowed function based on the manufacturer information on the wireless power transmitter and the authority.

10. The wireless power receiver of claim 1, wherein the controller transmits a signal for negotiating the authority through the communication module, receives an authority reset by the wireless power transmitter, and performs the allowed function based on the received reset authority.

11. A wireless power transmitter for wirelessly transmitting power to a wireless power receiver, the wireless power transmitter comprising:

a resonator that wirelessly transmits power to the wireless power receiver;

a communication module that performs communication with the wireless power receiver; and

a controller that receives manufacturer information on the wireless power receiver from the wireless power receiver through the communication module, determines whether to allow each of at least one function of the wireless power receiver to be performed based on the manufacturer information on the wireless power receiver, and transmits an authority over whether to allow each of the at least one function of the wireless power receiver to the wireless power receiver through the communication module.

12. The wireless power transmitter of claim 11, wherein the communication module receives a power receiving unit static parameter signal comprising the manufacturer information on the wireless power receiver.

13. The wireless power transmitter of claim 11, wherein the authority comprises at least one handle value of the at least one function of the wireless power receiver and a flag corresponding to each of the at least one handle value.

14. The wireless power transmitter of claim 13, wherein each of the at least one handle value comprises an offset from a generic attribute profile (GATT) primary service base handle.

15. The wireless power transmitter of claim 14, wherein the offset is 51 or greater.

16. The wireless power transmitter of claim 13, wherein the wireless power transmitter performs the allowed function with the wireless power receiver based on a handle value corresponding to the allowed function.

17. The wireless power transmitter of claim 11, wherein the controller transmits the manufacturer information on the wireless power transmitter to the wireless power receiver through the communication module.

18. The wireless power transmitter of claim 17, wherein the communication module transmits a power transmitting unit static parameter signal comprising the manufacturer information on the wireless power transmitter.

19. The wireless power transmitter of claim 17, wherein the wireless power receiver performs the allowed function based on the manufacturer information on the wireless power transmitter and the authority.

20. An operating method of a wireless power receiver for wirelessly receiving power from a wireless power transmitter, the method comprising:

transmitting an advertisement signal;

receiving a connection request signal corresponding to the advertisement signal; and

transmitting a power receiving unit static parameter signal comprising manufacturer information on the wireless power receiver in response to the connection request signal.
