1. A hockey goalie stick having a cut in the blade, a paddle connecting to a shaft on the top that has two 45 degree bends creating a long longitudinal axis, wherein the blade, paddle and shaft are all rigidly attached and wherein the shaft is in line with the paddle and the paddle meets the blade at a 45 degree angle and the blade then cuts to a 30 degree angle thereby making the shaft and the tip of the blade almost perpendicular to each other. With the added 45-degree angle at the top of the shaft, the butt end of the shaft can be taped as thick as need be and still be able to be laid flush on the ice.
