A self-locking screwdriver (1) comprising a guide tube (3) inside which a clamping rod (4) which is guided and rotatably driven, one end of which is provided with a cavity (5) enabling the rotational drive and tightening of an anchoring screw (6) ensuring the immobilization of an orthopedic implant (2) against an osseous body of an individual, the self-locking screwdriver comprising, between the guide tube (3) and the clamping rod (4), a blocking system (9, 10 and 11) cooperating with the said guide tube (3) in order to prevent the latter from getting loose from the orthopedic implant (2) when the anchoring screw (6) is being tightened and, on the outer periphery of the guide tube (3), a gripping wheel (8) for locking and/or unlocking the blocking system and the rotational drive of said guide tube (3).
