Abstract

A navigation method includes receiving additional information satisfying a condition based on a current position of the user terminal, and indicating a position corresponding to the additional information on a navigation map.

Claims

1. A method for providing information in a navigation device in a vehicle, comprising:

transmitting, by the navigation device to a mobile device, a current position of the navigation device, the mobile device being connected to the navigation device via wireless communication;

receiving, by the navigation device from the mobile device, information associated with a location within a predefined distance from the current position, the information being stored in the mobile device;

displaying a first object at a position of the location on a navigation map displayed on the navigation device; and

in response to the first object on the navigation map being selected, displaying a second object on the navigation map, the second object providing additional information associated with the location based on the information associated with the location received from the mobile device.

2. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

displaying a User Interface (UI) including information for a distance between a current position and the location.

3. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

receiving a selection command for a route to the location; and

displaying the route to the location on the navigation map.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein the information associated with the location further includes time information related to the location, and

wherein the time information is based on a search for information within a time range based on a current time.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein the information associated with the location includes position information collected by the mobile device from a database including information from at least one of a Social Network Service (SNS) and a specific web site.

6. The method of claim 5, wherein the position information is pre-stored in the mobile device among position information collected from the SNS.

7. A method of providing information to a navigation device in a vehicle, comprising:

receiving, by a mobile device, a current position of the navigation device from the navigation device, the mobile device connecting to the navigation device via wireless communication; and

transmitting, by the mobile device to the navigation device, information associated with a location within a predefined distance from the current position, the information being stored in the mobile device,

wherein the navigation device displays a first object at a position of the location on a navigation map displayed on the navigation device and, in response to the first object on the navigation map being selected, displays on the navigation map a second object providing additional information associated with the location based on the information associated with the location received from the mobile device.

8. The method of claim 7, wherein the information associated with the location further includes time information related to the location, and

wherein the time information is based on a search for information within a time range on the basis of a current time.

9. The method of claim 7, wherein the information associated with the location includes position information collected by the mobile device from a database including information from at least one of a Social Network Service (SNS) and a specific web site, and

wherein the position information is pre-stored in the mobile device.

10. A navigation device which is in communication with a mobile device, comprising:

a display;

a memory;

a communication interface which transmits a current location of the navigation device to the mobile device and receives information associated with a location within a predefined distance from the current position, the information being stored in the mobile device; and

a controller which controls the display to display a first object at a position of the location on a navigation map displayed on the display, and, in response to the first object being selected, to display a second object on the navigation map, the second object providing additional information associated with the location based on the information associated with the location received from the mobile device.

11. The navigation device of claim 10, wherein the controller further controls the display to display a User Interface (UI) including information indicating a distance between the current position and the location.

12. The navigation device of claim 10, wherein the controller further controls the display to display a route to the location on the navigation map when a selection command for the route to the location is input.

13. The navigation device of claim 10, wherein the information associated with the location further includes time information related to the location, and

wherein the time information is based on a search for information within a time range based on a current time.

14. The navigation device of claim 10, wherein the information associated with the location includes position information collected by the mobile device from a database including information from at least one of a Social Network Service (SNS) and a specific web site.

15. The navigation device of claim 14, wherein the position information is pre-stored in the mobile device among position information collected from the SNS.

16. A mobile device which provides information to a navigation device, comprising:

a communication interface;

a memory; and

a controller configured to receive, via the communication interface from the navigation device, a current position of the navigation device, and transmits, via the communication interface, information associated with a location within a predefined distance from the current position, the information being stored in the memory,

wherein the navigation device displays a first object at a position of the location on a navigation map displayed on the navigation device and, in response to the first object on the navigation map being selected, displays on the navigation map a second object providing additional information associated with the location based on the information associated with the location received from the mobile device.

17. The mobile device as claimed in claim 16, wherein the information associated with the location further includes time information related to the location, and

wherein the time information is based on a search for information within a time range on the basis of a current time.

18. The mobile device as claimed in claim 16, wherein the information associated with the location includes position information collected by the mobile device from a database including information from at least one of a Social Network Service (SNS) and a specific web site, and

wherein the position information is pre-stored in the mobile device.
