Abstract

A method whereby a mobile fuel station may refuel vehicles is disclosed. Fuel reservoirs are provided in a mobile fuel station that may store fuel and dispense fuel through a hybrid fuel line. Fuel nozzles are provided which can be detachably connected to the hybrid fuel line and can measure and display fuel dispensed from the mobile fuel station. Communication devices and a network are provided that allow a vehicle and a mobile fuel station to communicate location and status information wirelessly with the network. The network uses vehicle location data to create an optimized fueling path and predict vehicle refueling locations. A prepay deposit account or other automatic payment services that allow refueling and maintenance services to be provided at a user'"'"'s convenience are also disclosed and claimed herein.

Claims

1. A method of vehicle refueling comprising:

providing a network, the network capable of receiving data, transmitting data, storing data, and performing data analysis by a processor;

providing one or more vehicles with a first communication device which transfers and receives data from the network;

providing a mobile fuel station with a second communication device which transfers and receives data from the network;

transmitting planned vehicle travel routes of the one or more vehicles and a predicted fuel status of the one or more vehicles at points along the planned vehicle travel routes to the network from the first wireless communication device;

determining, by the data analysis, a mobile fuel station optimal refueling travel route based on the planned vehicle travel route of the one or more vehicles and the predicted fuel status of the one or more vehicles at points along the planned vehicle travel route;

determining, by the data analysis, one or more optimal refueling points along the optimal refueling travel route;

transmitting the mobile fuel station optimal refueling travel route and the one or more optimal refueling points to the second wireless communication device from the network; and

providing the mobile fuel station at the one or more optimal refueling points to perform the vehicle refueling of the one or more vehicles.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the vehicle refueling comprises one or more of:

inserting liquid fuel into the vehicle, inserting gaseous fuel into the vehicle or electrically charging a battery in the vehicle.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein the mobile fuel station further comprises one or more replacement fuel modules.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein the vehicle refueling is carried out at least partially by one or more human operators.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein the vehicle refueling is carried out at least partially by a pre-programmed autonomous system.

6. The method of claim 1, further comprising a plurality of fuel nozzles attached to the mobile fueling station, each fuel nozzle having a fuel measurement device associated therewith.

7. The method of claim 1 further comprising:

providing an oil change, transmission fluid change, windshield washing fluid top-off, vehicle cleaning, windshield replacement, rock chip repair, headlight cleaning, surface polishing, tire inflation, and wiper replacement while the mobile fueling station performs the vehicle refueling.

The method of claim 7, wherein the one or more vehicles comprise one or more indicators from a list of indicators consisting of oil change indicator, transmission fluid change indicator, windshield washing fluid top-off indicator, vehicle cleaning indicator, windshield replacement indicator, rock chip repair indicator, headlight cleaning indicator, surface polishing indicator, tire inflation indicator, wiper replacement indicator, and refuel indicator.

9. The method of claim 8, wherein one or more of the indicators are automatically triggered by vehicle sensors.

10. The method of claim 8, wherein the one or more vehicles further comprise manual controls and one or more of the indicators are capable of being triggered by a vehicle user by means of the manual controls.

11. The method of claim 1 further comprising providing a service selection to a customer.

12. The method of claim 11, wherein the service selection comprises one or more of:

fuel companies, fuel prices, payment methods, fuel types, fuel grades, refueling dates, refueling locations, payment receipt methods, or a combination thereof.

13. The method of claim 1, wherein multiple vehicles are refueled along the one or more optimal refuel points.

14. The method of claim 1, wherein one of the one or more vehicles are refueled along each of the optimal refuel points.

15. The method of claim 14, wherein the optimal refuel points are based on both time and location for each vehicle refueled.

16. The method of claim 1 further comprising providing a customer with a service notification.

17. The method of claim 1 further comprising providing a prepay deposit account, a customer capable of depositing money into the prepay deposit account.

18. The method of claim 1 further comprising providing a parking warning if the one or more vehicles are parked in a position where they cannot be refueled by the mobile fuel station, the parking warning notifying a vehicle operator that the one or more vehicles must be moved.

19. The method of claim 1, wherein the one or more vehicles are autonomous vehicles.

20. The method of claim 19 further comprising autonomous movement of the vehicle to a new parking location if the vehicle is detected to be in a position where it cannot be refueled by the mobile fuel station and providing a parking notification service, the parking notification service comprising informing a customer of the new parking location.
