Abstract

According to one embodiment, a wireless communication device, includes a receiver configured to receive a first field, receive at least one of a plurality of second fields having been multiplexed and transmitted, and decode the one of the second fields to obtain a frame in a case where first information identifying the wireless communication device is not set in the first field, and a controller configured to suppress access to a wireless medium during a period indicated by a value set in the frame.

Claims

1. A wireless communication device, comprising

a receiver configured to receive a first field, receive at least one of a plurality of second fields having been multiplexed and transmitted, and decode the one of the second fields to obtain a frame in a case where first information identifying the wireless communication device is not set in the first field, and

a controller configured to suppress access to a wireless medium during a period indicated by a value set in the frame.

2. The wireless communication device according to claim 1,

wherein the second fields is multiplexed by at least any one of frequency multiplexing and spatial multiplexing.

3. The wireless communication device according to claim 1,

wherein the first field is a field common to a plurality of wireless communication terminals, and

the plurality of second fields are individual fields for the respective wireless communication terminals.

4. The wireless communication device according to claim 1,

wherein the first field contains second information to individually decode the plurality of second fields.

5. The wireless communication device according to claim 4,

wherein the plurality of second fields are transmitted in OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access), and

the second information contains at least one of

information pertaining to an error correction code scheme, and

information to identify a plurality of resource blocks used to transmit the plurality of second fields.

6. The wireless communication device according to claim 5,

wherein the information to identify the plurality of resource blocks contains at least one of information pertaining to a number of resource blocks, information pertaining to sub-carrier intervals between the resource blocks, and individual identifiers of the respective resource blocks.

7. The wireless communication device according to claim 4,

wherein the plurality of second fields are transmitted in multi-user MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output),

the second information contains at least one of

information pertaining to an error correction code scheme, and

information pertaining to a number of streams.

8. The wireless communication device according to claim 1,

wherein each of the second fields contains a third field and a fourth field, and

in a case where the first information is not set in the first field, the receiver is configured to obtain third information from the third field contained in one of the plurality of second fields, and decode the fourth field contained in the one of the plurality of second fields, based on the third information, to obtain the frame.

9. The wireless communication device according to claim 8,

wherein the third information contains information pertaining to a modulation and coding scheme applied to the frame, and

the receiver is configured to identify the third field in which the modulation and coding scheme supportable by the own device is set, and decode the fourth field contained in the same second field as that containing the identified third field, based on the modulation and coding scheme set in the identified third field, to obtain the frame.

10. The wireless communication device according to claim 9,

wherein in a case with a plurality of third fields in which the modulation and coding scheme supportable by the own device is set, the receiver is configured to identify the third field in which the modulation and coding scheme having a coding rate or a transmission rate satisfying a predetermined condition is set, and decode the fourth field contained in the same second field as that containing the identified third field, based on the modulation and coding scheme set in the identified third field, to obtain the frame.

11. The wireless communication device according to claim 1,

wherein in a case where the first information identifying the own device is not set in the first field, the receiver is configured to decode one of the plurality of second fields to obtain a frame when a value of a parameter is a first value, and is configured not to decode none of the plurality of second fields when the value of the parameter is a second value.

12. The wireless communication device according to claim 1,

wherein each of the second fields includes a third field in which the frame is set, and a fourth field in which a value is set,

the receiver is configured to extract the value from one of the fourth fields, instead of extracting the value from the frame, and

the controller is configured to control so as to suppress access to the wireless medium during duration indicated by the extracted value.

13. The wireless communication device according to claim 1,

wherein a value for each frame is set in the first field,

the receiver is configured to extract one of the values of the frames from the first field, instead of extracting the value from the frame, and

the controller is configured to control so as to suppress access to the wireless medium during duration indicated by the extracted value.

14. The wireless communication device according to claim 1, further comprising at least one antenna.

15. A wireless communication terminal, comprising:

at least one antenna;

a receiver coupled to the antenna and configured to receive a packet;

a transmitter coupled to the antenna and configured to transmit a packet;

a communication processor coupled to the receiver and the transmitter;

a network processor coupled to the communication processor and configured to transmit data to the communication processor and receive data from another device; and

a memory coupled to the network processor and configured to cache first data from the other device,

wherein, through the antenna, the receiver is configured to receive a first field, receives at least one of a plurality of second fields having been multiplexed and transmitted, and decode the one of the second fields to obtain a frame in a case where first information identifying the own device is not set in the first field, and

the communication processor is configured to control so as to suppress access to a wireless medium during duration indicated by a value set in the frame, and

during a period of time when the access to the wireless medium is not suppressed, the transmitter is configured to transmit the first data cached in the memory or information based on the first data through the antenna.

16. The wireless communication terminal according to claim 15,

wherein the second fields is multiplexed by at least any one of frequency multiplexing and spatial multiplexing.

17. The wireless communication terminal according to claim 15,

wherein the first field is a field common to a plurality of wireless communication terminals, and

the plurality of second fields are individual fields for the respective wireless communication terminals.

18. The wireless communication terminal according to claim 15,

wherein the first field contains second information for individually decoding the plurality of second fields.

19. The wireless communication terminal according to claim 18,

wherein the plurality of second fields are transmitted in OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access), and

the second information contains at least one of

information pertaining to an error correction code scheme, and

information for identifying a plurality of resource blocks used to transmit the plurality of second fields.

20. A wireless communication method by a wireless communication terminal, comprising:

caching first data from another device in a memory;

at least one antenna;

receive a first field and receives at least one of a plurality of second fields having been multiplexed and transmitted;

decoding the one of the second fields to obtain a frame in a case where first information identifying the own device is not set in the first field;

controlling so as to suppress access to a wireless medium during duration indicated by a value set in the frame; and

transmitting, during a period of time when the access to the wireless medium is not suppressed, the first data cached in the memory or information based on the first data.
