Abstract

A method and apparatus for creating and running contests are provided. In the method and apparatus one or more groups of predetermined criteria based on one or more user posts collected by a software client are generated. The one or more groups of predetermined criteria to one or more challenges are assigned. A response to the one or more challenges is received. In response to receiving the response to the one or more challenges, the response to the one or more predetermined criteria is compared and the correctness of the received response is determined.

Claims

1. A computer-implemented method for creating and running contests comprising:

under control of one or more computer systems with executable instructions,

generating one or more groups of predetermined criteria based on one or more user posts collected by a software client;

assigning the one or more groups of predetermined criteria to one or more challenges;

receiving a response to the one or more challenges;

in response to receiving the response to the one or more challenges;

comparing the response to the one or more predetermined criteria; and

determining the correctness of the received response.

2. The computer-implemented method of claim 1, further comprising:

assigning the one or more challenges to one or more communication platforms.

3. The computer-implemented method of claim 1, further comprising:

the one or more groups of predetermined criteria and the challenges are created after a contest has begun.

4. The computer-implemented method of claim 1, further comprising:

the one or more groups of predetermined criteria and the challenges are created prior to a contest.

5. computer-implemented method of claim 1, further comprising:

the one or more groups of predetermined criteria and the challenges are created prior to a contest and after the contest has begun.

6. The computer-implemented method of claim 1, further comprising:

the one or more groups of predetermined criteria and the challenges are created based on an existing communication.

7. The computer-implemented method of claim 1, further comprising:

the one or more groups of predetermined criteria are based on one or more actions of one or more chosen communication platforms.

8. The computer-implemented method of claim 1, further comprising:

the one or more predetermined criteria are in forms of one or more series of grouped actions.

9. The computer-implemented method of claim 1, further comprising:

assigning the one or more groups of predetermined criteria to one or more challenges; and

generating one or more groups of predetermined criteria;

11. The system of claim 7, wherein the at least one computing device is further configured to:

the client software to reside on one or more hardware platforms that connect to one or more internet or one or more intranet, having an accessible Software Development Kit and having a property to allow connection to the one or more communication platforms.

12. The system of claim 7, wherein the one or more communication platforms further comprising one or more public feeds, one or more semi-public feeds, and one or more private feeds.

13. The system of claim 7, wherein the one or more moderated posts are conducted through the one or more communication platforms where one or more contests are held.

14. The system of claim 7, wherein the one or more moderated posts are conducted through the one or more communication platforms in places other than where one or more contests are held.

15. The system of claim 11, wherein the application servers:

scans one or more user responses received through the communication platforms;

logs the one or more user responses;

matches the one or more user responses to one or more predetermined criteria; and

sends one or more match results to one or more software client.

16. The system of claim 13, wherein the application servers directly scan to the one or more communication platforms and send to the application servers.

17. The system of claim 13, wherein the software client scans the one or more communication platforms and send it to the application servers.

18. The system of claim 13, wherein the one or more match results are delivered to a user on one or more communication platforms by one or more ways of sending communications.

10. A system comprising:

at least one computing device that;

instantiates a connection between one or more communication platforms and an application server;

tracks one or more moderated posts and one or more user response conversations;

tracks one or more results of the one or more conversations;

displays the one or more results of the one or more conversations;

instantiates one or more communication connections between one or more organizations and one or more moderators;

displays one or more graphical representations of one or more contest elements;

registers the one or more user information and sends the one or more user information to one or more application servers;

sends one or more user responses consist of any action that one or more communication platforms support and sent to one or more application servers; and

tracks one or more results from one or more contests from the one or more chosen communication platforms and the application servers.

19. A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium having stored thereon executable instructions that, when executed by one or more processor of a computer system, cause the computer system to at least:

evaluate one or more results to one or more challenges provided to a server, the one or more results to the one or more challenges being evaluated based at least in part on a set of predetermined criteria; and

as a result of the one or more results to the one or more challenges provided to a server matching the set of predetermined criteria, a set of actions is performed.
