Abstract
A mesh network-based environmental data capture system and method for providing communication between a base system having at least one wireless input capture device ICD(s) and other ICD(s), wherein the ICD(s) are capable of smart cross-communication with each other and remote access to their inputs via a server computer, including the steps of providing this base system; at least one user accessing the ICDs and inputs remotely via a user interface through a remote server computer and/or electronic device communicating with it, for providing a secure surveillance system with extended inputs range and wireless smart cross-communication for monitoring a target environment.

sending a first message via a wireless mesh communication network, wherein the first message includes at least a portion of device presence information to inform a smart communication appliance of a presence of an input capture device on the wireless mesh communication network, wherein the first message is sent to the smart communication appliance through one or more other input capture devices connected to the wireless mesh communication network, wherein the one or more other input capture devices are configured to capture one or more of;
a first image, first video, first sound, first motion data, first physical presence data, first temperature data, first chemical presence data, first humidity data, first radiation data, or any combination thereof, andwherein the one or more other input capture devices are different from both the input capture device and the smart communication appliance; accessing environment data based, at least in part, on a second message received via the wireless mesh communication network, wherein the environment data is captured by the input capture device and comprises one or more of;

a first image, first video, first sound, first motion data, first physical presence data, first temperature data, first chemical presence data, first humidity data, first radiation data, or any combination thereof, andwherein the second input capture device is different from both the first input capture device and the smart communication appliance; in response receiving a second message via the wireless mesh network, causing the first input capture device to perform operations including one or more of;
