METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR NOTIFYING PARAMETER CHANGES OF ACCESS CONTROL MECHANISM
First Claim
1. A method used by a user equipment belonging to a specific access class of multiple access classes for notifying parameter changes of an access control mechanism, the method comprising:
- receiving a first paging message which comprises an indicator indicating that a parameter of an access control mechanism is modified, wherein the access control mechanism bars at least one access class of the multiple access classes;
acquiring the parameter of the access control mechanism from a system information block to determine whether the specific access class is barred in response to receiving the first paging message which comprises the indicator indicating the parameter of the access control mechanism has been modified;
not performing a random access in response to determining that the specific access class has been barred;
receiving a second paging message;
acquiring the parameter of the access control mechanism from the system information block to determine whether the specific access class is barred in response to receiving the second paging message from which the second paging message indicates the parameter of the access control mechanism has been modified; and
performing a random access in response to the specific access class not being barred.

Abstract
Accordingly, the disclosure provides a method and a user equipment for notifying parameter changes of an access control mechanism. In one of the exemplary embodiments, the method would include not limited to: receiving a first paging message which includes an indicator indicating whether a parameter of an access control mechanism is modified, wherein the access control mechanism bars at least one access class of the multiple access classes; acquiring the parameter of the access control mechanism from a system information block to determine whether the specific access class is barred in response to receiving the first paging message which includes the indicator indicating the parameter of the access control mechanism has been modified; not performing a random access in response to determining that the specific access class has been barred.
