Abstract

Platinum (II) and palladium (II) complexes of Formulas A and B and iridium (III) complexes of Formula C having azepine functional groups and their analogues as emitters for full color displays and lighting applications.

1. A complex of Formula A or Formula B:

2. The complex of claim 1, wherein at least one of L¹, L², L³, and L⁴ represents a linking group, and the linking group comprises a hydroxy, amide, thiol, or substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, alkoxy, alkenyl, alkynyl, amino, aryl, heteroaryl, cycloalkyl, or heterocyclyl moiety.
