Abstract

The present invention relates to a wireless communication system. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method and a device for operating fast random access procedure in a wireless communication system, the method comprising: starting a Random Access Response (RAR) reception procedure by transmitting a Random Access Preamble (RAP) to an e-NodeB (eNB); receiving, from the eNB, an indicator indicating that the UE check a condition for whether the UE stops the RAR reception procedure or not, checking whether the condition is met or not; and stopping RAR reception procedure if the condition is met.

Claims

1. A method for a User Equipment (UE) operating in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:

starting a Random Access Response (RAR) reception procedure by transmitting a Random Access Preamble (RAP) to an e-NodeB (eNB);

receiving, from the eNB, an indicator indicating that the UE check a condition for whether the UE stops the RAR reception procedure or not;

checking whether the condition is met or not; and

stopping RAR reception procedure if the condition is met.

2. The method according to claim 1, wherein the RAR reception procedure is monitoring a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) for a RAR addressed by Random Access-Radio Network Temporary Identifier (RA-RNTI) within RAR window.

3. The method according to claim 1, wherein the UE stops RAR reception procedure within RAR window, if the condition is met.

4. The method according to claim 1, further comprising:

performing a procedure related to RAR reception failure.

5. The method according to claim 1, wherein the condition includes a number of RAP transmissions is less than a threshold.

6. The method according to claim 1, further comprising:

keeping performing the RAR reception procedure if the condition is not met.

7. The method according to claim 1, wherein the indicator is received via a RAR.

8. The method according to claim 7, wherein the RAR includes a RAP identifier (ID) corresponding to the transmitted RAP.

9. A User Equipment (UE) operating in a wireless communication system, the UE comprising:

a Radio Frequency (RF) module; and

a processor configured to control the RF module,

wherein the processor is configured to start a Random Access Response (RAR) reception procedure by transmitting a Random Access Preamble (RAP) to an e-NodeB (eNB), to receive, from the eNB, an indicator indicating that the UE check a condition for whether the UE stops the RAR reception procedure or not, to check whether the condition is met or not, and to stop RAR reception procedure if the condition is met.

10. The UE according to claim 9, wherein the RAR reception procedure is monitoring a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) for a RAR addressed by Random Access-Radio Network Temporary Identifier (RA-RNTI) within RAR window.

11. The UE according to claim 9, wherein the processor stops RAR reception procedure within RAR window, if the condition is met.

12. The UE according to claim 9, wherein the processor is further configured to perform a procedure related to RAR reception failure.

13. The UE according to claim 9, wherein the condition includes a number of RAP transmissions is less than a threshold.

14. The UE according to claim 9, wherein the processor is further configured to keep performing the RAR reception procedure if the condition is not met.

15. The UE according to claim 9, wherein the indicator is received via a RAR.

16. The UE according to claim 15, wherein the RAR includes a RAP identifier (ID) corresponding to the transmitted RAP.
