1. A segment driver circuit comprising:
- a first circuit to receive a positive input signal via a first coupling capacitor, and to provide a high-voltage output signal; and
a second circuit to receive a negative input signal, which is complementary to the positive input signal, via a second coupling capacitor for matching the positive input signal path, and to provide a low-voltage output signal that is complementary to the high-voltage output signal;
wherein the segment driver circuit is to, responsive to receipt of control signals,selectively reset a charge of both plates of the first coupling capacitor and the second coupling capacitor,selectively cut off from its respective circuit the positive input signal and the negative input signal, andselectively power down to provide configurable operation of the segment driver circuit according to non-return to zero (NRZ) or pulse amplitude modulation (PAM) modulation formats, and according to a plurality of different configurable extinction ratio (ER) specifications.

Abstract
An example device in accordance with an aspect of the present disclosure includes at least one segment driver circuit having a first circuit and a second circuit, to receive input signals and provide output signals. A given segment driver circuit is to protect reliability and enable reconfigurability by selectively resetting coupling capacitors, and selectively cutting off the input signals from their respective segment driver circuit.
