Abstract

Described herein is a dosage of foam including from about 5 cm³ to about 70 cm³ of the foam. The foam includes from about 0.5 g to about 4 g of a detersive surfactant; from about 0.001 g to about 4 g propellant, a foam density of from about 0.05 g/cm³ to about 0.35 g/cm³; a bubble size distribution including an R₃₂ of from about 5 μm to about 100 μm; and a gloss unit measurement of from about 4 to about 40 GU. The propellant is selected from 1,3,3,3-tetrafluoroprop-1-ene, 1,1 difluoroethane, and mixtures thereof.

Claims

1. ) A dosage of foam comprising:

a. from about 5 cm³ to about 70 cm³ of the foam;

wherein the foam comprises;

i. from about 0.5 g to about 4 g of a detersive surfactant by weight of the foam;

ii. from about 0.001 g to about 4 g propellant by weight of the foam, wherein the propellant is selected from the group consisting of hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), hydrofluoroolefins (HFOs), and mixtures thereof;

iii. a foam density of from about 0.05 g/cm³ to about 0.35 g/cm³;

iv. a bubble size distribution comprising an R₃₂ of from about 5 μ

m to about 100 μ

m; and

v. a gloss unit measurement of from about 4 GU to about 40 GU.

2. ) The dosage of foam of claim 1, wherein the propellant is selected from the group consisting of 1,3,3,3-tetrafluoroprop-1-ene, 1,1 difluoroethane, and mixtures thereof.

3. ) The dosage of foam of claim 1, wherein the gloss unit measurement is from about 5 GU to about 30 GU.

4. ) The dosage of foam of claim 1, wherein the gloss unit measurement is from about 5 GU to about 20 GU.

5. ) The dosage of foam of claim 1, wherein the gloss unit measurement is from about 5 GU to about 15 GU.

6. ) The dosage of foam of claim 1, wherein the bubble size distribution comprises an R₃₂ of from about 10 μ

m to about 60 μ

m.

7. ) The dosage of foam of claim 1, wherein the bubble size distribution comprises an R₃₂ of from about 20 μ

m to about 50 μ

m.

8. ) The dosage of foam of claim 1, wherein the yield point is from about 15 Pa to about 100 Pa.

9. ) The dosage of foam of claim 1, wherein the volume of the dosage of foam is from about 10 g/cm³ to about 70 g/cm³.

10. ) The dosage of foam of claim 1, wherein the volume of the dosage of foam is from about 20 g/cm³ to about 70 g/cm³.

11. ) The dosage of foam of claim 1, wherein the foam density is from about 0.08 g/cm³ to about 0.25 g/cm³.

12. ) The dosage of foam of claim 1, wherein the detersive surfactant is an anionic surfactant.

13. ) The dosage of foam of claim 1, wherein the dosage of foam further comprises from about 0.0035 g to about 0.7 g of an anti-dandruff agent by weight of the foam.

14. ) The dosage of foam of claim 13, wherein the anti-dandruff agent is selected from the group consisting of octopirox, zinc pyrithione, and mixtures thereof.

15. ) The dosage of foam of claim 1, wherein the propellant is 1,3,3,3 tetrafluroprop-1-ene.

16. ) A dosage of foam comprising:

a. from about 5 cm³ to about 70 cm³ of the foam;

wherein the foam comprises;

i. from about 0.5 g to about 4 g of a detersive surfactant by weight of the foam;

ii. from about 0.001 g to about 4 g propellant by weight of the foam, wherein the propellant is selected from the group consisting of hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), hydrofluoroolefins (HFOs), and mixtures thereof;

iii. a foam density of from about 0.05 g/cm³ to about 0.35 g/cm³;

iv. from about 0.00005 g to about 0.25 g of a cationic deposition polymer by weight of the foam;

v. a bubble size distribution comprising an R₃₂ of from about 5 μ

m to about 100 μ

m; and

vi. a gloss unit measurement of from about 4 to about 40 GU.

17. ) The dosage of foam of claim 16, wherein the gloss unit measurement is from about 5 GU to about 30 GU.

18. ) The dosage of foam of claim 16, wherein the gloss unit measurement is from about 5 GU to about 20 GU.

19. ) The dosage of foam of claim 16, wherein the gloss unit measurement is from about 5 GU to about 15 GU.

20. ) The dosage of foam of claim 16, wherein the propellant is selected from the group consisting of 1,3,3,3-tetrafluoroprop-1-ene, 1,1 difluoroethane, and mixtures thereof.
