Abstract

An automated system comprising a processor and a database are described. The processor executes communication software reading: at least one image corresponding to an identifier of a blood product from a donor; and at least one database storing at least one communication from a receiver of the blood product. The communication software executed by the processor determines an intermediary from the identifier and contacts the intermediary to obtain contact information of the donor.

Claims

1. One or more non-transitory computer readable medium storing a set of computer executable instructions for running on one or more processors that when executed cause the one or more processors to:

receive at least one communication and an identifier from a receiver system, the identifier configured to provide identifying characteristics of a product from a provider;

analyze the identifier to determine at least one intermediary system related to the product;

providing the identifier to the intermediary system; and

,

receiving contact information of the provider from the intermediary system.

The one or more non-transitory computer readable medium storing the set of computer executable instructions for running on one or more processors of claim 1, further comprising transmitting the at least one communication to the provider of the product using the contact information from the intermediary system.

3. The one or more non-transitory computer readable medium storing the set of computer executable instructions for running on one or more processors of claim 2, further comprising reviewing the at least one communication prior to transmission to the provider.

The one or more non-transitory computer readable medium storing the set of computer executable instructions for running on one or more processors of claim 3, wherein review of the at least one communication includes accessing, by an administrator, the one or more processors to view the at least one communication.

5. The one or more non-transitory computer readable medium storing the set of computer executable instructions for running on one or more processors of claim 1, wherein the provider is a blood donor and the product is blood product.

6. The one or more non-transitory computer readable medium storing the set of computer executable instructions for running on one or more processors of claim 1, wherein the identifier is received in an image.

7. The one or more non-transitory computer readable medium storing the set of computer executable instructions for running on one or more processors of claim 1, wherein the identifier is received as a code.

8. The one or more non-transitory computer readable medium storing the set of computer executable instructions for running on one or more processors of claim 1, wherein the identifier is an alphanumeric code.

9. The one or more non-transitory computer readable medium storing the set of computer executable instructions for running on one or more processors of claim 1, wherein the identifier is an ISBT 128 donation identification number.

10. An automated method performed by at least one processor running computer executable instructions stored on at least one non-transitory computer readable medium, comprising:

receive at least one communication intended for a provider of a product and an identifier of the product from a receiver of the product;

analyze the identifier to determine an intermediary system having contact information for the provider;

receive the contact information of the provider; and

,

transmit the at least one communication to the provider using the contact information received

wherein the contact information of the provider remains confidential to the receiver.

11. The automated method of claim 10, further comprising the step of reviewing, by an administrator, the at least one communication prior to transmission to the provider.

12. The automated method of claim 11, wherein each communication is classified as approved, rejected or flagged.

13. The automated method of claim 12, wherein rejected and flagged communications are archived in at least one database.

14. The automated method of claim 10, wherein the provider is a blood donor and the product is a blood product.

15. The automated method of claim 10, wherein the identifier is an image of a barcode.

16. The automated method of claim 10, wherein the identifier is a numeric code.

17. An automated system, comprising:

at least one processor executing communication software reading;

at least one image corresponding to an identifier of a blood product from a blood donor; and

at least one database storing at least one communication from a receiver of the blood product; and

wherein the communication software executed by the processor determines an intermediary from the identifier and contacts the intermediary to obtain contact information of the blood donor.

18. The automated system of claim 17, wherein the communication software transmits the at least one communication to the blood donor using the contact information obtained from the intermediary.

19. The automated system of claim 18, wherein the communication software provides access of the at least one communication to an administrator prior to transmission of the at least one communication.

20. The automated system of claim 17, wherein the identifier is a barcode.
