Abstract

Provided is a vehicle periphery information management device that can reduce the load on a network and the processing load on the acquisition side. The vehicle periphery information management device includes: a data acquisition unit that acquires a plurality of pieces of external environment information data in the periphery of the vehicle; and a data selection unit that selects a portion of the plurality of pieces of external environment information data acquired by the data acquisition unit and outputs the selected data to an external unit on the basis of a prescribed position from the vehicle.

Claims

1. A vehicle periphery information management device comprising:

a data acquisition unit configured to acquire a plurality of pieces of external environment information data around a vehicle; and

a data selection unit configured to select a part of the plurality of pieces of external environment information data acquired by the data acquisition unit so as to make an output outside, based on a predetermined position of the vehicle.

2. The vehicle periphery information management device according to claim 1, wherein

the data selection unit deletes periphery environment information data present in a region at more than a predetermined distance from the vehicle so as to make the output.

3. The vehicle periphery information management device according to claim 2, wherein

the region exceeding the predetermined distance includes a first region travelable to the vehicle or a second region adjacent to the first region.

4. The vehicle periphery information management device according to claim 3, wherein,

in a case where a region not adjacent to the first region is defined as a third region,

the data selection unit assigns priority to the periphery environment information data for each of the regions, so as to vary a data description and a data amount to be output based on the priority that has been assigned.

5. The vehicle periphery information management device according to claim 2, wherein

the data selection unit varies the data to be output per function to be used.

6. The vehicle periphery information management device according to claim 5, wherein

information in each of the functions to be used, is transmitted from an external control device.

7. The vehicle periphery information management device according to claim 1, wherein

the data selection unit decimates the part of the external environment information data or the entire data collected by the data acquisition unit, so as to make the output.

8. The vehicle periphery information management device according to claim 1, wherein

the data selection unit deletes the part of the external environment information data or the entire data collected by the data acquisition unit, so as to make the output.

9. The vehicle periphery information management device according to claim 1, wherein

the data selection unit compresses the part of the external environment information data or the entire data collected by the data acquisition unit, so as to make the output.

10. The vehicle periphery information management device according to claim 1, wherein

the external environment information data includes at least obstruction information.
