1. A method to transfer content in a wireless network and performed at a computing device, the method comprising:
- storing, in a database, content related information associated with a first mobile device;
transmitting, to the first mobile device, a query that requests state information associated with the first mobile device;
receiving, from the first mobile device, a response to the transmitted query, wherein the received response to the transmitted query includes the requested state information;
in response to the receipt of the response to the transmitted query, storing a communication link status of a second mobile device in the database, wherein the communication link status indicates that the second mobile device maintains a valid communication link with the first mobile device;
storing, in the database, the received state information to enable tracking of topology related information of the wireless network;
receiving, from the second mobile device, a request for the stored content related information;
in response to the received request for the stored content related information, searching the database for the stored content related information to generate a search result; and
initiating a transmission, to the second mobile device, of the generated search result to enable the transfer of the content between the first mobile device and the second mobile device.

Abstract
Embodiments of the disclosure set forth methods for sharing data in a wireless network. Some example methods include storing in a database a content related information associated with a first mobile device, receiving a request for the content related information from a second mobile device, searching the database for the content related information, and transmitting a search result to the second mobile device to enable the transfer of content between the first mobile device and the second mobile device.

1. A method to transfer content in a wireless network and performed at a computing device, the method comprising:
-
storing, in a database, content related information associated with a first mobile device; transmitting, to the first mobile device, a query that requests state information associated with the first mobile device; receiving, from the first mobile device, a response to the transmitted query, wherein the received response to the transmitted query includes the requested state information; in response to the receipt of the response to the transmitted query, storing a communication link status of a second mobile device in the database, wherein the communication link status indicates that the second mobile device maintains a valid communication link with the first mobile device; storing, in the database, the received state information to enable tracking of topology related information of the wireless network; receiving, from the second mobile device, a request for the stored content related information; in response to the received request for the stored content related information, searching the database for the stored content related information to generate a search result; and initiating a transmission, to the second mobile device, of the generated search result to enable the transfer of the content between the first mobile device and the second mobile device. - View Dependent Claims (2, 3, 4, 5, 6)

7. A system to transfer content between mobile devices in a wireless network the system comprising:
-
a storage device; and a processor operatively coupled to the storage device and configured to perform or control performance of; store, in the storage device, content related information associated with a first mobile device; transmit, to the first mobile device, a query that requests state information associated with the first mobile device; receive, from the first mobile device, a response to the transmitted query, wherein the received response to the transmitted query includes the requested state information; in response to the receipt of the response to the transmitted query, store a communication link status of a second mobile device in the storage device, wherein the communication link status indicates that the second mobile device maintains a valid communication link with the first mobile device; store, in the storage device, the received state information to enable tracking of topology related information of the wireless network; receive, from the second mobile device, a request for the stored content related information; search, in response to the received request, the storage device for the content related information to generate a search result; and initiate a transmission of the generated search result to the second mobile device to enable the transfer of the content between the first mobile device and the second mobile device. - View Dependent Claims (8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13)

14. A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium having stored thereon computer-executable instructions that, in response to execution, cause a system to perform or control performance of operations that comprise:
-
store, in a database, content related information associated with a first mobile device; transmit, to the first mobile device, a query that requests state information associated with the first mobile device; identify a response, received from the first mobile device, to the transmitted query, wherein the identified response to the transmitted query includes the requested state information; in response to the identification of the response to the transmitted query, store, in the database, a communication link status of a second mobile device, wherein the communication link status indicates that the second mobile device maintains a valid communication link with the first mobile device; store, in the database, the state information to enable tracking of topology related information of the wireless network; identify a request, received from the second mobile device, for the stored content related information; search, in response to the identified request for the stored content related information, the database for the content related information to generate a search result; and initiate a transmission of the generated search result to the second mobile device to enable a transfer of the content between the first mobile device and the second mobile device. - View Dependent Claims (15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20)
