19. A method for monitoring glucose concentration in a biological sample of a host, the method comprising:

producing a data stream indicative of a glucose concentration of a host using a continuous glucose sensor, wherein at least a portion of the continuous glucose sensor is configured for transcutaneous insertion through a skin of the host; applying sensor data associated with the data stream to a prospectively-generated conversion function to prospectively convert, using a first processor, the sensor data to generate real-time calibrated glucose concentration information; triggering a first alert responsive to the real-time calibrated glucose concentration information; applying the sensor data to a retrospectively-generated conversion function to retrospectively convert, using a second processor, the sensor data associated with the data stream to generate historical calibrated glucose concentration information; triggering a second alert responsive to the historical calibrated glucose concentration information; and selectively displaying a graphical representation of the real-time calibrated glucose concentration or the historical calibrated glucose concentration information on a display device. - View Dependent Claims (20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29)
