Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4th-Generation (4G) communication system such as long-term evolution (LTE). A method of a terminal is provided. The method includes receiving measurement configuration information including numerology information and bandwidth information from a base station, measuring a channel state based on the measurement configuration information, and transmitting information on the measured channel state to the base station.

Claims

1. A method of a terminal in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:

receiving measurement configuration information including numerology information and bandwidth information from a base station;

measuring a channel state based on the measurement configuration information; and

transmitting information on the measured channel state to the base station.

2. The method of claim 1,

wherein the measurement configuration information is configured for each measurement bandwidth when a plurality of measurement bandwidths are configured, and

wherein the channel state is measured in each measurement bandwidth according to the measurement configuration information for each measurement bandwidth.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein the bandwidth information includes:

information on a size of a measurement bandwidth, and

information on a starting point of the measurement bandwidth.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein the numerology information is configured for each measurement bandwidth in one carrier.

5. A method of a base station in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:

transmitting measurement configuration information including numerology information and bandwidth information to a terminal; and

receiving information on a channel state,

wherein the channel state is measured based on the measurement configuration information from the terminal.

6. The method of claim 5,

wherein the measurement configuration information is configured for each measurement bandwidth when a plurality of measurement bandwidths are configured, and

wherein the channel state is measured in each measurement bandwidth according to the measurement configuration information for each measurement bandwidth.

7. The method of claim 5, wherein the bandwidth information includes:

information on a size of a measurement bandwidth, and

information on a starting point of the measurement bandwidth.

8. The method of claim 5, wherein the numerology information is configured for each measurement bandwidth in one carrier.

9. A terminal in a wireless communication system, comprising:

a transceiver; and

at least one processor configured to;

receive measurement configuration information including numerology information and bandwidth information from a base station,

measure a channel state based on the measurement configuration information, and

transmit information on the measured channel state to the base station.

10. The terminal of claim 9,

wherein the measurement configuration information is configured for each measurement bandwidth when a plurality of measurement bandwidths are configured, and

wherein the channel state is measured in each measurement bandwidth according to the measurement configuration information for each measurement bandwidth.

11. The terminal of claim 9, wherein the bandwidth information includes:

information on a size of a measurement bandwidth, and

information on a starting point of the measurement bandwidth.

12. The terminal of claim 9, wherein the numerology information is configured for each measurement bandwidth in one carrier.

13. A base station in a wireless communication system, comprising:

a transceiver; and

at least one processor configured to;

transmit measurement configuration information including numerology information and bandwidth information to a terminal, and

receive information on a channel state,

wherein the channel state is measured based on the measurement configuration information from the terminal.

14. The base station of claim 13,

wherein the measurement configuration information is configured for each measurement bandwidth when a plurality of measurement bandwidths are configured, and

wherein the channel state is measured in each measurement bandwidth according to the measurement configuration information for each measurement bandwidth.

15. The base station of claim 13, wherein the bandwidth information includes:

information on a size of a measurement bandwidth, and

information on a starting point of the measurement bandwidth.

16. The base station of claim 13, wherein the numerology information is configured for each measurement bandwidth in one carrier.
