Abstract

An isometric-exercise towel for use in performing isometric exercises, including a layer of moisture-absorbent material having four corners, and a thick pile having moisture-wicking characteristics, a hand/foot-insertable aperture formed in each of the four corners of the isometric-exercise towel. The perimeter of each hand/foot-insertable aperture is reinforced with double stitching, and a reinforced stitching pattern is formed between pairs of hand/foot-insertable apertures formed on opposing ends of the isometric-exercise towel. The hand and/or foot of a person using the isometric-exercise towel, or both hands and/or feet of the person, can be inserted within any one or more of the hand/foot-insertable apertures formed in the isometric-exercise towel so as to perform one or more isometric exercises by the person using his or her hands and/or feet to exert forces against the side inner perimeter surfaces of the hand/foot-insertable apertures of the isometric-exercise towel in an outwardly and isometric manner.

Claims

1. An isometric-exercise towel for use in performing isometric exercises, said isometric-exercise towel comprising:

a layer of moisture-absorbent material having four corners, and a thick pile having moisture-wicking characteristics;

a hand/foot-insertable aperture formed in at least two of said four corners of the isometric-exercise towel, and reinforced with double stitching about the perimeter of each hand/foot-insertable aperture; and

a reinforced stitching pattern between pairs of said hand/foot-insertable apertures formed on opposing ends of the isometric-exercise towel;

wherein one hand and/or one foot of a person using said isometric-exercise towel, or both hands and/or feet of said person, can be inserted within any one or more of said hand/foot-insertable apertures formed in said isometric-exercise towel so as to perform one or more isometric exercises by said person using said hands and/or feet to exerts forces against the side inner perimeter surfaces of said hand/foot-insertable apertures in an outwardly and isometric manner, and

wherein, thereafter, using said thick pile of said layer of moisture-absorbent material to wipe and absorb perspiration produced from the skin of said person while performing said one or more isometric exercises using said isometric-exercise towel.

2. The isometric-exercise towel of claim 1, wherein said isometric-exercise towel can be used in an unfolded configuration, or in a latitudinally or longitudinally folded configuration.

3. The isometric-exercise towel of claim 1, wherein said isometric-exercise towel folded along its longitudinal axis, so that the apertures on the longitudinal sides are spatially aligned for insertion of the user'"'"'s hands or feet.

4. The isometric-exercise towel of claim 1, wherein said reinforced stitching pattern is realized by multiple stitches passing through and reinforcing the layer of moisture-absorbent material along lines where the stitching is made.

5. The isometric-exercise towel of claim 1, wherein said layer of moisture-absorbent material is realized using a thick Terry clothe fabric with loops that can absorb large amounts of water.

6. The isometric-exercise towel of claim 1, wherein said isometric-exercise towel folded along its latitudinal axis so that the apertures on the latitudinal ends are spatially aligned for insertion of the user'"'"'s hands or feet.

7. The isometric-exercise towel of claim 1, wherein said isometric-exercise towel folded along its longitudinal axis, so that the apertures on the longitudinal sides are spatially aligned for insertion of the user'"'"'s hands or feet.

15. The isometric-exercise towel of claim 1, wherein said isometric-exercise towel folded along its longitudinal axis, so that the apertures on the longitudinal sides are spatially aligned for insertion of the user'"'"'s hands or feet.

18. The isometric-exercise towel of claim 1, wherein said hand/foot-insertable aperture is formed in each of said four corners of the isometric-exercise towel.

9. An isometric-exercise towel for use in performing isometric exercises, said isometric-claim exercise towel comprising:

a layer of moisture-absorbent material having four corners, and a thick pile having moisture-wicking characteristics;

multiple pieces of pliant canvass material for reinforcing the opposing ends and corners of said layer of moisture-absorbent material in which four hand/foot-insertable apertures are formed in said isometric-exercise towel,

a hand/foot-insertable aperture formed in at least two of said four corners of the isometric-exercise towel, and reinforced with double stitching about the perimeter of each hand/foot-insertable aperture; and

wherein one hand and/or one foot of a person using said isometric-exercise towel, or both hands and/or feet of said person, can be inserted within any one or more of said hand/foot-insertable apertures formed in said isometric-exercise towel so as to perform one or more isometric exercises by said person using said hands and/or feet to exerts forces against the side inner perimeter surfaces of said hand/foot-insertable apertures in an outwardly and isometric manner, and

wherein, thereafter, using said thick pile of said layer of moisture-absorbent material to wipe and absorb perspiration produced from the skin of said person while performing said one or more isometric exercises using said isometric-exercise towel.

10. The isometric-exercise towel of claim 9, wherein said isometric-exercise towel can be used in an unfolded configuration, or in a latitudinally or longitudinally folded configuration.

a layer of moisture-absorbent material having four corners, and having moisture-wicking characteristics;

multiple pieces of pliant canvass material for reinforcing the opposing ends and corners of said layer of moisture-absorbent material in which four hand/foot-insertable apertures are formed in said isometric-exercise towel,

a hand/foot-insertable aperture formed in at least two of said four corners of the isometric-exercise towel, and reinforced with multiple stitching about the perimeter of each hand/foot-insertable aperture; and

wherein one hand and/or one foot of a person using said isometric-exercise towel, or both hands and/or feet of said person, can be inserted within any one or more of said hand/foot-insertable apertures formed in said isometric-exercise towel so as to perform one or more isometric exercises by said person using said hands and/or feet to exerts forces against the side inner perimeter surfaces of said hand/foot-insertable apertures in an outwardly and isometric manner, and

wherein, thereafter, using said thick pile of said layer of moisture-absorbent material to wipe and absorb perspiration produced from the skin of said person while performing said one or more isometric exercises using said isometric-exercise towel.

20. The isometric-exercise towel of claim 17, wherein said hand/foot-insertable aperture is formed in each of said four corners of the isometric-exercise towel.
