1. An apparatus for carrying a pair of skis, comprising:
- a strap adapted to encircle a pair of skis to form a bundle, the strap carrying an engagement member; and
a belt or bandolier adapted to be worn on the person, the belt or bandolier carrying a holder with which the engagement member is adapted releasably to engage;
wherein the engagement member is provided with a partition that extends from a side of the engagement member opposite to the location of the holder when the engagement member is engaged with the holder, the partition being adapted to extend between flat sides of a pair of skis, the distal end of the partition being bifurcated, thereby defining a space for receiving a portion of the encircling strap.

An apparatus and a method for carrying skis are disclosed. The skis are encircled with a strap to form a bundle. The bundle is releasably attached to a belt or bandolier worn by a person. The strap carries an engagement member, and the belt or bandolier carrying a holder with which the engagement member is adapted releasably to engage.

11. A method for carrying skis comprising the steps of:
- encircling the skis with a strap to form a bundle; and
releasably attaching the bundle to a belt or bandolier worn by a person, the strap carrying an engagement member, and the belt or bandolier carrying a holder with which the engagement member is adapted releasably to engage;
wherein the engagement member is provided with a partition that extends from a side of the engagement member opposite to the location of the holder when the engagement member is engaged with the holder, the partition being adapted to extend between flat sides of a pair of skis, the distal end of the partition being bifurcated, thereby defining a space for receiving a portion of the encircling strap. - View Dependent Claims (12, 13, 14)
