Abstract

Disclosed are a safety service system and a method thereof. The safety service system comprises: a collection unit for collecting position information and image information related to a protected person who is registered by a protector; and a service providing unit for providing the position information and the image information to one or both of the protector and a security company upon detection of a signal that the protected person is in danger.

Claims

1. A user terminal for providing a safety service, comprising:

a location calculator that acquires a current location of the user terminal;

a communication unit that communicates with a security system;

a memory having computer readable instructions stored thereon; and

at least one processor configured to execute the computer readable instructions to determine whether an alert signal is generated or a request of the safety service is received and, in response to the alert signal being generated or the request of the safety service being received, transmit the current location to at least one of a guardian terminal for the user terminal and the security system;

wherein the user terminal is registered on the security system, which is associated with a user of the guardian terminal.

2. The user terminal of claim 1, further comprising:

a camera unit that captures a peripheral image of the user terminal,

wherein the at least one processor is configured to execute the computer readable instructions to, in response to the alert signal being generated or the request of the safety service being received, transmit the captured peripheral image to the at least one of the guardian terminal and the security system.

3. The user terminal of claim 1,

wherein the location calculator is configured to acquire the current location of the user terminal at predetermined time intervals, and

wherein the at least one processor is configured to execute the computer readable instructions to transmit the current location at predetermined time intervals to the at least one of the guardian terminal and the security system.

4. The user terminal of claim 1, further comprising an impact detector,

wherein the impact detector is configured to detect an external impact applied to the user terminal,

wherein, in response to a detected level of the external impact exceeding a threshold value, the at least one processor is configured to execute the computer readable instructions to transmit the location information to the at least one of the guardian terminal and the security system.

5. The user terminal of claim 1,

wherein the at least one processor is configured to determine whether an emergency situation occurs, and

in response that it occurs, notify the guardian terminal of the occurrence of the emergency situation.

6. The user terminal of claim 1,

wherein, in response to the current location being deviated from a safety zone or the current location being within a danger zone, the user terminal is determined as having an emergency situation, and

wherein the safety zone and the danger zone are defined by the guardian terminal.

7. A method for providing a safety service, performed by a user terminal configured to communicate with a security system, comprising:

acquiring a current location of the user terminal;

determining whether an alert signal is generated in the user terminal or a request of the safety service is received at the user terminal; and

in response to the alert signal being generated or the request of the safety service being received, transmitting the current location to at least one of a guardian terminal for the user terminal and the security system;

wherein the user terminal is registered on the security system, which is associated with a user of the guardian terminal.

8. The method of claim 7, further comprising:

capturing a peripheral image of the user terminal,

wherein the transmitting comprises, in response to the alert signal being generated or the request of the safety service being received, transmitting the captured peripheral image to the at least one of the guardian terminal and the security system.

9. The method of claim 7,

wherein the acquiring comprises acquiring the current location of the user terminal at predetermined time intervals, and

wherein the transmitting comprises transmitting the current location at predetermined time intervals to the at least one of the guardian terminal and the security system.

10. The method of claim 7, further comprising:

detecting an external impact applied to the user terminal, and

in response to a detected level of the external impact exceeding a threshold value, transmitting the location information to the at least one of the guardian terminal and the security system.

11. The method of claim 7, further comprising:

determining whether an emergency situation occurs, and

in response that it occurs, notifying the guardian terminal of the occurrence of the emergency situation.

12. The method of claim 7, further comprising:

in response to the current location being deviated from a safety zone or the current location being within a danger zone, determining the user terminal as having an emergency situation, and

wherein the safety zone and the danger zone are defined by the guardian terminal.

13. A method for providing a safety service performed by a guardian terminal, for a ward of a user terminal configured to communicate with a security system, the user terminal being registered on the security system, which is associated with a user of the guardian terminal, the method comprising:

transmitting a request for the safety service to acquire a current location of the user terminal;

in response to the request being received at the user terminal through the security system, receiving the current location; and

providing a ward location reference function associated with the received the current location.

14. The method of claim 13, further comprising:

providing a setting function including at least one of a safety zone/danger zone setting function for defining at least one of a safety zone and a danger zone associated with the ward, a description setting function for registering or editing description information of the ward, a map setting function for setting a type of a map including the current location to be displayed on a screen of the guardian terminal, a personal information setting function for setting personal information of the guardian, a ward setting function for selecting at least one ward for acquiring his/her current location among at least one ward including the ward, and a message managing function for managing a message.

15. The method of claim 13, further comprising:

in response to the request being received at the user terminal, receiving a peripheral image captured by a camera of the user terminal.

16. The method of claim 13, wherein the receiving comprises receiving the current location of the user terminal at predetermined time intervals.

17. The method of claim 13, further comprising:

in response that an emergency situation of the user terminal occurs, receiving a notification of an occurrence of the emergency situation.

18. The method of claim 14, wherein the providing the setting function comprises providing the safety zone/danger zone setting function, and

the method further comprises receiving a notification in response to the current location being deviated from the safety zone or the current location being within the danger zone.

19. The method of claim 18, wherein the safety zone/danger zone setting function includes a function for setting a time period when the safety zone and/or the danger zone is effective, and

the receiving the notification comprises receiving the notification only within the set time period.

20. The method of claim 13, wherein the ward location reference function comprises a safety information providing function for providing a map on which the current location of the ward is marked on a center of the map, and providing safety information indicating whether the ward is in a safety zone or a danger zone.
