providing, to one or more transporter devices, transportation request information indicating the pickup location;
selecting a transporter associated with a transporter device from the one or more transporter devices to provide a transportation service for the passenger; and
providing, to the computer system, an acknowledgement message confirming the transportation service for the passenger to be provided by the transporter associated with the transporter device.
