1. A system to intake and transport physical objects in a facility, the system comprising:

  • a computing system disposed in a deposit area of a facility, the computing system programmed to;

    identify a physical object based on an attribute associated with the physical object; and

    determine a storage location of the physical object in the facility based on the attribute;

    a plurality of autonomously controlled carts, each one of the plurality of autonomously controlled carts, the plurality of autonomously controlled carts being disposed in the deposit area and being communicatively coupled to the computing system;

    wherein, in response identification of the physical object by the computing system, the computing system is configured to transmit an identifier to the plurality of autonomously controlled carts, the identifier corresponding to at least one of the attribute or the storage location; and

    wherein, in response to receipt of the identifier, a first one of the plurality of autonomously controlled carts is configured to;

    activate an indicator to indicate to the user of the computing system that the physical object is to be placed in the first one of the plurality of autonomously controlled carts;

    determine whether a threshold capacity of the first one of the plurality of autonomous carts is satisfied; and

    autonomously navigate to the storage location in response to determining that the threshold capacity has been satisfied.
