Abstract
A power management system for a lighting circuit may include a grid shifting controller that includes a processor and a connection to an external power source. The power management system may also include a communication interface associated with the grid shifting controller. The grid shifting controller may be configured to provide control information to a processor of at least one grid shifting electrical fixture over the communication interface, the control information being configured to direct the at least one grid shifting electrical fixture on the use of power from the external power source and an energy storage device associated with the at least one grid shifting electrical fixture.

20. A first lighting device configured for communicating with a remote electronic device having a display and a second lighting device having a light source, the lighting device comprising:

a wireless communication interface configured to communicate with the remote electronic device; a camera configured to capture one or more images; a motion sensor configured to detect motion within an area about the lighting device; and a processor configured to; activate the camera to capture the one or more images in response to the motion sensor detecting the motion; cause the wireless communication interface to transmit the captured one or more images to the remote electronic device to be displayed on the display of the remote electronic device; and cause the wireless communication interface to transmit, in response to the motion sensor detecting the motion, a signal to the second lighting device to cause a change in illumination of the light source of the second lighting device. - View Dependent Claims (21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32)

33. A method for a first lighting device in communication with a remote electronic device having a display and a second lighting device, the method comprising:

receiving a motion signal from a motion sensor of the first lighting device; in response to receiving the motion signal, activating a first light source of the first lighting device; in response to receiving the motion signal, capturing video images by a video camera of the first lighting device; transmitting the captured video images to the remote electronic device to be displayed on the display of the remote electronic device; and transmitting, in response to receiving the motion signal, a light activation signal to a second lighting device to activate a second light source of the second lighting device at substantially the same time as the activation of the first light source. - View Dependent Claims (34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39)
