Abstract

The present invention comprises a gripping system that slides along a surface and a modular structure that incorporates this gripping system for performing physical exercise having a plurality of exercise places that can be used simultaneously. The sliding gripping system of the modular structure allows varying the height of the anchoring point where the exercise bands or ropes arc attached.

A subject matter of the present invention is providing a station for performing physical exercise with resistance bands that is flexible, easy to user and is capable of accommodating different types of resistance bands and other exercise apparatuses that require anchorage to a physical object.

Claims

1. A modular structure for physical exercise comprising:

An upper base of the structure which is a plate fixed to a sliding surface;

this sliding surface is supported on a lower base of structure composed of a plate A of lower base and a plate B of lower base, which are fixed by means of the lower base screws, the lower base nuts, and the lower base joints; and

gripping means which slide on the sliding surface.

2. The modular structure for physical exercise according to claim 1, wherein the upper base of structure and lower base of the structure have anchoring orifices.

3. The modular structure for physical exercise according to claim 1, wherein the gripping means comprise:

a hook;

a swivel joint;

a disk;

a caster;

a main spring and a swivel joint screw.

5. The modular structure for physical exercise according to claim 1, wherein the gripping means further comprise two protector plate handles, a pulley system and a counterweight.

6. The modular structure for physical exercise according to claim 3, wherein the swivel joint has a large opening of swivel joint and in its end includes a small opening of swivel joint.

7. The modular structure for physical exercise according to claim 3, wherein the disk corresponds to a piece of circular shape with an orifice in its center wherein a screw is fixed by means of a nut.

8. The modular structure for physical exercise according to claim 3, wherein the caster is placed within the rail of the sliding surface.

9. The modular structure for physical exercise according to claim 3, wherein the main spring is located between the spring and the caster, and is attached to the first wire rope and to the second wire rope using the upper rail clips and the lower rail clips.

10. The modular structure for physical exercise according to claim 3, wherein the swivel joint screw passes through:

the main spring;

the caster;

the protector plate;

the spring;

the disk;

the disk nut;

the large opening of the swivel joint.

11. The modular structure for physical exercise according to claim 3, wherein the gripping means also have a spring and a protector plate

12. The modular structure for physical exercise according to claim 11, wherein the spring slides along the swivel joint screw positioning itself between the disk and the protector plate.

13. The modular structure for physical exercise according to claim 11, wherein the protector plate is composed of two handles that allow for an easy-to-use safety system to slide the gripping means, compressing the spring in the user'"'"'s direction;

four casters of the protector plate that allow the sliding surface to slide smoothly along the rail, and a rubber foam that attaches to the protector plate.

14. The modular structure for physical exercise according to claim 1, wherein the sliding surface of the modular structure for physical exercise comprises a sliding surface rail accommodated in a sliding surface tube;

a first wire rope;

a second wire rope;

which are coupled to a large lower pulley;

a large upper pulley;

a small lower pulley;

a small upper pulley;

to allow for sliding movement in the sliding surface tube; and

counterweight to equilibrate the structure and provide resistance.

15. The modular structure for physical exercise according to claim 14, wherein the sliding surface rail and the sliding surface tube are attached on both ends to the upper base joints and to the lower base joints.

16. The modular structure for physical exercise according to claim 14, wherein the sliding surface rail is a metal bar on which the gripping system slides along.

17. The modular structure for physical exercise according to claim 14, wherein the sliding surface tube is a metal tube that accommodates:

the second wire rope;

the upper hook or snap hook;

the counterweight;

the small lower pulley;

the first wire rope, and the lower nipple and wherein said sliding surface tube serves as anchorage support for the handrails and as structural reinforcement for the sliding surface rail.

The modular structure for physical exercise according to claim 17, wherein the first wire rope goes through the large lower pulley located on the large lower pulley screw with a lower bushing and goes through the small lower pulley on the other end of the first wire rope the lower nipple is placed, located in the sliding surface tube secured with the lower square tube clip;

the second wire rope goes through the large upper pulley located on the large upper pulley screw with the upper bushing and goes through the small upper pulley the other end of the second wire rope is placed on the upper nipple, located on the sliding surface tube, fixing it by means of the upper square tube clip;

the end of the small lower pulley attaches to the lower hook or snap hook which attaches to one end of the counterweight;

the small upper pulley attaches to the upper hook or snap hook, which attaches to the other end of the counterweight.

19. The modular structure for physical exercise according to claim 17, wherein the lower hook or snap hook, upper hook and hook are comprised of two parts:

the first part is a unit made of an elongated material bent in such a way that both of its ends are facing each other, yet at a certain distance between them; and

the second part is another unit, made of the same material of the first unit described above, fixed to one of the ends of the first part, in such a way that it can be moved, pulling it closer or farther from the opposite end of the first part.

20. The modular structure for physical exercise according to claim 17, wherein the counterweight is a cylinder the height of which is larger than the radius of the base and has two rings that allow holding it with the upper and lower hooks or snap hooks, respectively, and the wire rope systems.

21. The modular structure for physical exercise according to claim 1, wherein there is one, two or three sliding surfaces in the same modular structure and it can have handrails which attach to each sliding surface using the handrail tints, a handrail screw and a handrail nut.
