Abstract

A solid oxide fuel cell includes a cathode including a complex oxide having a perovskite structure expressed by the formula ABO₃, an anode, and a solid electrolyte layer disposed between the cathode and the anode. The cathode includes phosphorus, chromium and boron, a content amount of the phosphorus in the cathode is at least 10 ppm and no more than 50 ppm, a content amount of the chromium in the cathode is at least 50 ppm and no more than 500 ppm, and a content amount of the boron in the cathode is at least 5 ppm and no more than 50 ppm.

Claims

1. A solid oxide fuel cell comprising:

a cathode including a complex oxide having a perovskite structure expressed by the formula ABO₃,

an anode, and

a solid electrolyte layer disposed between the cathode and the anode, wherein

the cathode includes phosphorus, chromium and boron,

a content amount of the phosphorus in the cathode is at least 10 ppm and no more than 50 ppm,

a content amount of the chromium in the cathode is at least 50 ppm and no more than 500 ppm, and

a content amount of the boron in the cathode is at least 5 ppm and no more than 50 ppm.

2. The solid oxide fuel cell according to claim 1, wherein

the content amount of the phosphorus in the cathode is no more than 30 ppm.

3. The solid oxide fuel cell according to claim 1, wherein

the content amount of the chromium in the cathode is no more than 100 ppm.

4. The solid oxide fuel cell according to claim 1, wherein

the content amount of the boron in the cathode is no more than 10 ppm.

5. The solid oxide fuel cell according to claim 2, wherein

the content amount of the chromium in the cathode is no more than 100 ppm.

6. The solid oxide fuel cell according to claim 2, wherein

the content amount of the boron in the cathode is no more than 10 ppm.

7. The solid oxide fuel cell according to claim 3, wherein

the content amount of the boron in the cathode is no more than 10 ppm.
