Abstract

The toy includes a body section including flexible limbs and a head section rotatably coupled with the body section having eyes and eye lids. A speaker and a motor to rotate the head section are provided along with an eyes blink actuator which moves the eye lids. A touch sensor and a sound sensor for detecting sound in the vicinity of the toy are included. A rotational motion sensor detects rotational motion of the toy about selected axes. A memory is provided for storing a plurality of physical animations. A processor, coupled with the speaker, motor, eyes blink actuator, touch sensor, sound sensor, rotation motion sensor and the memory, selects at least one physical animation corresponding to signals received from the touch sensor, sound sensor and rotational motion sensor. The processor produces signals corresponding to the selected physical animation for the speaker, the motor and/or the eyes blink actuator.

Claims

1. An interactive robotic toy comprising:

a body section including flexible limbs;

a head section, rotatably coupled with said body section, said head section including eyes and respective eye lids, operable to cover and uncover the eyes;

a speaker, operative to produce sounds;

a motor, operative to rotate said head section relative to said body section;

eyes blink actuator, operable to move said eye lids such that eye lids cover and uncover said eyes;

at least one touch sensor for detecting touch;

at least one sound sensor liar detecting sound in the vicinity of said interactive robotic toy;

at least one rotational motion sensor for detecting rotational motion of said interactive robotic toy about selected axes;

a memory for storing a plurality of physical animations

a processor, coupled with said speaker, said motor, said eyes blink actuator, said touch sensor, said sound sensor, said rotation motion sensor and with said memory for selected at least one physical animation corresponding to signals received from said touch sensor, said sound sensor and said rotational motion sensor and producing signals corresponding to said selected at least one physical animation for said speaker said motor and said eyes blink actuator.

2. An interactive robotic toy comprising a body section and a head section coupled with said body section;

characterized in that the interactive robotic toy further comprises;

at least one actuator operable to enable said interactive robotic toy to perform a motion and/or a speaker operable to produce a sound, combination of said motion and said sound, forms at least one physical animation;

at least one sensor;

a processor, coupled to said at least one sensor to receive at least one first signal from said at least one sensor, determine at least one said physical animation corresponding to said at least one first signal and send at least one second signal to said at least one actuator and/or said speaker to operate said at least one actuator and/or said speaker to enable said interactive robotic toy exhibit said at least one physical animation.

3. The interactive robotic toy according to claim 2, wherein the interactive robotic toy further comprises a memory for storing a plurality of said physical animations;

the processor is further coupled to said memory to select said at least one physical animation wherefrom when receiving said at least one first signal.

4. The interactive robotic toy according to claim 2, wherein said head section, is rotatably coupled with said body section;

said at least one actuator comprises a motor, operative to enable said interactive robotic toy to perform said motion of rotating said head section relative to said body section.

5. The interactive robotic toy according to claim 2, wherein the sounds comprise sound of laughing, sound of sneezing, and/or sound of a kiss.

6. The interactive robotic toy according to claim 2, wherein said head section comprises eyes and respective eye lids operable to cover and uncover the eyes;

said at least one actuator further comprises an eyes blink actuator, operable to move said eye lids to enable said interactive robotic toy to perform said motion of eye lids covering and uncovering said eyes.

7. The interactive robotic toy according to claim 6, wherein said eyes blink actuator comprises a solenoid and a magnet or comprises a motor and gears.

The interactive robotic toy according to claim 2, wherein said at least one sensor comprises at least one touch sensor for detecting touch, at least one sound sensor for detecting sound in the vicinity of said interactive robotic toy, and/or at least one rotational motion sensor for detecting rotational motion of said interactive robotic toy about selected axes.

9. The interactive robotic toy according to claim 8, wherein said touch sensor is a capacitive touch sensor;

said sound sensor is a microphone; and

said orientation sensor is a ball switch, a gyroscope or an accelerometer.

10. An interactive toy comprising a structure for clinging to a finger of a user such that the linger is loaded with the interactive toy, characterized in that the interactive toy further comprises

at least one actuator operable to enable said interactive robotic toy to perform a motion and/or a speaker operable to produce a sound, combination of said motion and said sound forms at least one physical animation;

at least one sensor;

a processor, coupled to said at least one sensor to receive at least one first signal from said at least one sensor, determine at least one said physical animation corresponding to said at least one first signal and send at least one second signal to said at least one actuator and/or said speaker to operate said at least one actuator and/or said speaker to enable said interactive robotic toy exhibit said at least one physical animation.

11. The interactive toy according to claim 10, wherein the interactive toy further comprises a memory for storing a plurality of said physical animations;

and the processor is further coupled to said memory to select said at least one physical animation wherefrom when receiving said at least one first signal.

12. The interactive toy according to claim 10, wherein said interactive toy comprises a body section, a head section and at least one limb coupled with said body section, said structure is all or part of said at least one limb.

13. The interactive toy according to claim 12, wherein said at least one limb comprises a left arm, a right arm, a left leg, a right leg and/or a tail.

14. The interactive toy according to claim 12, wherein said at least one, limb is flexible.

15. The interactive toy according to claim 12, wherein said head section is rotatably coupled with said body section;

said at least one actuator comprises a motor, operative to enable said interactive robotic toy to perform said motion of rotating said head section relative to said body section.

16. The interactive toy according to claim 10, wherein the sound comprises the sound of laughing, sound of sneezing and/or sound of a kiss.

17. The interactive toy according to claim 12, wherein said head section comprises eyes and respective eye lids operable to cover and uncover the eyes;

said at least one actuator further comprises an eyes blink actuator, operable to move said eye lids to enable said interactive robotic toy to perform said motion of eye lids covering and uncovering said eyes.

18. The interactive toy according to claim 17, wherein said eyes blink actuator comprises a solenoid and a magnet or comprises a motor and gears.

The interactive toy according to claim 10, wherein said at least one sensor comprises at least one touch sensor for detecting touch, at least one sound sensor for detecting sound in the vicinity of said interactive robotic toy, and/or at least one rotational motion sensor for detecting rotational motion of said interactive robotic toy about selected axes.

20. The interactive toy according to claim 19, wherein said touch sensor is a capacitive touch sensor;

said sound sensor is a microphone; and

said orientation sensor is a ball switch, a gyroscope or an accelerometer.

21. The interactive toy according to claim 20, wherein said touch sensor, said sound sensor and said orientation sensor are located within said head section.

22. The interactive toy according to claim 10, wherein the interactive toy further comprises a power supply which electrically connected to said actuator, said speaker, said sensor and said processor to power them.

23. The interactive toy according to claim 22, wherein said power supply is one or more batteries located within said body section.

24. The interactive toy according to claim 17, wherein said head section further comprises an ear(s), a nose, a mouth and/or a hair(s).

25. The interactive toy according to claim 10, wherein the interactive toy is shaped as a monkey.

26. The interactive toy according to claim 25, wherein said at least one limb comprises curled part for clinging to said finger of said user.
