Abstract
A flat iron case system for protecting a flat iron from breaking includes a pair of flat irons that are hingedly coupled together and the flat irons are selectively compressed on hair. A pair of shells is provided and each of the shells is coupled to an associated one of the flat irons. Each of the shells is comprised of a rigid material to inhibit the flat irons from breaking when the flat irons are dropped.

7. A flat iron case system for inhibiting a flat iron from breaking, said system comprising:
-
a pair of flat irons, each of said flat irons being hingedly coupled together wherein said flat irons are configured to be compressed on hair, each of said flat irons having a first surface and a second surface, said first surface corresponding to each of said flat irons being concavely arcuate with respect to said second surface of said corresponding flat iron; and a pair of shells, each of said shells being coupled to an associated one of said flat irons, each of said shells being comprised of a rigid material to inhibit said flat irons from breaking when said flat irons are dropped, each of said shells having a basal wall and a perimeter wall extending away therefrom, said perimeter wall having a front side, a back side, a first lateral side and a second lateral side, said basal wall being elongated between said front side and said back side, said basal wall being concavely arcuate between said first lateral side and said second lateral side, said perimeter wall having a distal edge with respect to said basal wall to define an opening into each of said shells, said opening in each of said shells insertably receiving said associated flat iron having said basal wall abutting said first surface of said associated flat iron and having said distal edge of each of said shells being aligned with said second surface of said associated flat iron, said first lateral side corresponding to each of said shells having a first slot extending toward said basal wall, said second lateral side corresponding to each of said shells having a second slot extending toward said basal wall, said second slot being aligned with said first slot, each of said first and second slots accommodating a hinge on said flat irons.
