ENHANCED SERVICE PROCEDURES USING FORCE MEASUREMENT
First Claim
1. A method for guided service procedure, the method comprising:
- receiving electrical feedback data belonging to one or more of a plurality of sensors, wherein the electrical feedback data belonging to one or more of the plurality of sensors is received from a sensor controller, and wherein the sensor controller provides a means for connection and transmission of feedback data between one or more of the plurality of sensors and one or more of a plurality of remote microprocessors located on a service console, and wherein the means for connection and transmission of feedback data between one or more of the plurality of sensors and one or more of a plurality of remote microprocessors is implemented through a network, and wherein the network is selected from the group consisting of an intranet, a LAN, and a WAN, and wherein each of the plurality of sensors is detecting a physical condition at a serviceable location within an item of equipment, and wherein the item of equipment is undergoing a service procedure by an equipment servicer, and wherein undergoing a service procedure comprises performing, by the equipment servicer, maintenance on the item of equipment, and wherein the item of equipment is selected from the group consisting of a piece of complex manufacturing equipment and a piece of complex medical equipment;
determining whether the received electrical feedback data from one or more of the plurality of sensors exceeds a threshold value;
based on determining that the threshold value is exceeded, generating an error message for the equipment servicer; and
displaying the generated error message on the service console during the service procedure, wherein the generated error message is also stored within the service console for debugging analysis.

Abstract
An embodiment of the invention may include a method, computer program product and system for guided service procedure. The embodiment may include receiving feedback data from one or more of a plurality of sensors. Each of the plurality of sensors may detect a physical condition at a serviceable location within an item of equipment. The item of equipment may be undergoing a service procedure by an equipment servicer. The embodiment may include determining whether the received feedback data from one or more of the plurality of sensors exceeds a threshold value. Based on determining that the threshold value is exceeded, the embodiment may include alerting the equipment servicer during the service procedure.
