1. A power storage adapter (PSA), comprising:
- a PSA port;
a PSA battery; and
a PSA controller having access to memory media storing instructions executable by the PSA controller to;
determine that an alternating current (AC) line power source is connected to the power storage adapter;
determine that a state of charge of the PSA battery is greater than a recharge threshold state of charge;
determine that electrical power supplied to the PSA port is less than a threshold electrical power; and
responsive to determining the state of charge and determining the electrical power supplied to the PSA port, electrically disconnect the power storage adapter from the AC line power source.

Abstract
A power storage adapter may use a method for low standby power in a power storage adapter enabled by an associated battery when the power storage adapter is receiving electrical power from an AC line power source and the power storage adapter may have no external load drawing electrical power. In particular, the power storage adapter may avoid drawing electrical power from the AC line power source by using the associated battery to supply its electrical power, which may result in drawing near zero electrical power from the AC line power source.
