Abstract

A method for a base station includes receiving a signal relating to a location of a user equipment (UE) from the UE, selecting a first exchange for the UE and sending the signal to the first exchange, and sending the signal to a second exchange based on subscription information of the UE provided by a server.

Claims

1. A method for a base station, comprising:

receiving a signal relating to a location of a user equipment (UE) from the UE;

selecting a first exchange for the UE and sending the signal to the first exchange; and

sending the signal to a second exchange based on subscription information of the UE provided by a server.

2. The method according to claim 1, wherein the base station includes an enhanced Node B (eNodeB).

3. The method according to claim 1, wherein each of the first exchange and the second exchange includes a gateway, a mobility management entity (MME), and a user plane entity (UPE).

4. The method according to claim 1, wherein the server includes a home subscriber server (HSS).

5. A method for a user equipment (UE) in a mobile communication system, the method comprising:

sending a first signal relating to a location of the user equipment to a base station; and

receiving a second signal relating to the location of the UE from an exchange via the base station,

wherein the base station selects a first exchange for the UE upon receiving the first signal and sends the first signal to the first exchange,

wherein the base station sends the first signal to a second exchange based on subscription information of the UE provided by a server, and

wherein the UE receives the second signal from the second exchange via the base station.

6. The method according to claim 5, wherein the base station includes an enhanced Node B (eNodeB).

7. The method according to claim 5, wherein each of the first exchange and the second exchange includes one of a gateway, a mobility management entity (MME), and a user plane entity (UPE).

8. The method according to claim 5, wherein the server includes a home subscriber server (HSS).
