1. A method of wireless communication, comprising:

  • receiving, by a user equipment (UE), a semi-persistent reservation signal from a serving base station during a discovery measurement timing configuration (DMTC) window, wherein the semi-persistent reservation signal identifies reservation of a shared communication channel;

    re-transmitting, by the UE, the semi-persistent reservation signal in response to the receiving, wherein the re-transmitting the semi-persistent reservation signal includes adding an offset period to the re-transmitted semi-persistent reservation signal; and

    engaging in communication with the serving base station by the UE within a clear channel assessment (CCA)-exempt transmission (CET) period of the shared communication channel identified by the semi-persistent reservation signal after the DMTC window.
