Abstract

The present disclosure is generally related to devices, methods and systems for cleaning, disinfecting and/or sterilizing a medical device, medical hoses and tubes and accessories thereof with ozone gas, in particular the disclosure relates to devices, methods and systems with multiple receptacles for providing closed-loop fluid pathways to distribute ozone gas to inner passageways and the outer compartments of medical devices. The devices in accordance with an embodiment of the disclosure have two or more receptacles for distributing ozone gas, a gas-tight compartment, an ozone operating system, and one or more connector units configured to fluidly migrate ozone in closed-loop treatment systems.

Claims

1. An ozone treatment system, comprising:

an ozone operating system; and

a gas tight container that is configured to transition between an open position and a closed position, the gas tight container comprising a receptacle;

wherein;

the ozone operating system is configured to fluidly couple to an interior of the gas tight container via an ozone conveyance line that is configured to couple to a receptacle on the gas tight container, such that when the ozone operating system is in operation, ozone gas generated by the ozone operating system flows into the interior of the gas tight container;

in the open position, the gas tight container permits insertion of at least a mask of a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) mask into the interior of the gas tight container.

2. The ozone treatment system of claim 1, wherein the gas tight container further comprises an exhaust port for exhausting ozone gas from the gas tight container.

3. The ozone treatment system of claim 2, further comprising an oxidizing catalyst downstream of the exhaust port, the oxidizing catalyst to convert ozone gas to oxygen.

4. The ozone treatment system of claim 3, wherein said oxidizing catalyst comprises magnesium oxide.

5. The ozone treatment system of claim 1, further comprising a sensor for sensing an amount of ozone within the interior of the gas tight container.

6. The ozone treatment system of claim 1, further comprising an air pump fluidly coupled to the ozone operating system.

7. An ozone treatment system, comprising:

an ozone operating system;

a gas tight container that is configured to transition between an open position and a closed position; and

an ozone conveyance line, wherein;

the ozone conveyance line extends through a side of the gas tight container, such that a first end of the ozone conveyance line is disposed outside the gas tight container, and a second end of the ozone conveyance line is disposed in the interior of the gas tight container; and

the ozone distribution system is configured to couple to the first end of the ozone conveyance line, such that in operation, ozone generated by the ozone distribution system flows into the first end of the ozone conveyance line, through the ozone conveyance line, and out of the second end of the ozone conveyance line and into the interior of the gas tight container.

8. The ozone treatment system of claim 7, wherein a seal is formed between an outer surface of the ozone conveyance line and the gas tight container.

9. The ozone treatment system of claim 8, wherein the seal is formed between the gas tight container and an outer surface of an intermediate portion of the ozone conveyance line, the intermediate portion being between the first and second end of the ozone conveyance line.

10. The ozone treatment system of claim 9, further comprising a lid movable between a closed position and an open position, wherein:

said lid further comprises a sealing element; and

when said lid is in said closed position;

a first portion of said lid engages said sealing element; and

said sealing element engages at least a part of the outer surface of said intermediate portion of said ozone conveyance line, such that said receptacle is at least partially defined by said part of the outer surface of the ‘

intermediate portion of the ozone conveyance line and said sealing element.
