1. An electric power system (EPS), comprising:
- a permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG), comprising;
a first stator winding;
a second stator winding;
a third stator winding; and
a control coil converter configured to control an output voltage of the PMSG;
a high speed, passive rectifier bridge configured to receive a first alternating current (AC) power from the PMSG; and
a low speed, passive rectifier bridge configured to receive a second AC power from the PMSG;
wherein the low speed rectifier bridge is configured to receive the first AC power in response to the PMSG rotating at a first rotational speed, andthe high speed rectifier bridge is configured to receive the second AC power in response to the PMSG rotating at a second rotational speed.

Abstract
An electric power system (EPS) may comprise a permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG), a high speed rectifier configured to receive a first alternating current (AC) power from the PMSG, and a low speed rectifier configured to receive a second AC power from the PMSG. The low speed rectifier may be configured to receive the first AC power in response to the PMSG rotating at a first rotational speed, and the high speed rectifier may be configured to receive the second AC power in response to the PMSG rotating at a second faster rotational speed.

17. A method for operating an electric power system (EPS), comprising:
-
activating a low speed, passive rectifier bridge in response to a permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) rotating at a first speed; activating a high speed, passive rectifier bridge in response to the PMSG rotating at a second speed; and controlling, by a control coil converter, an output voltage of the PMSG, wherein the low speed, passive rectifier bridge receives a first AC power corresponding to a second number of turns of a stator winding of the PMSG; and wherein the high speed, passive rectifier bridge receives a second AC power corresponding to a first number of turns of the stator winding of the PMSG. - View Dependent Claims (18, 19, 20)
