1. A computer-implemented method comprising:
- communicating a new prescription order;
from a web-enabled mobile computing device at a first location;
to fill a new prescription;
for a pharmaceutical prescribed by a healthcare provider to a patient, wherein;
the communicated new prescription includes an image captured by an image capture device of the web-enabled mobile computing device; and
the captured image is that of the new prescription for the pharmaceutical prescribed by the healthcare provider to the patient;
communicating video teleconferencing traffic between a pharmacist at a second location and the patient at a third location selected from the group consisting of;
a location of the web-enabled mobile computing device used to place the electronic order for the new prescription;
a location of a drug dispensing kiosk; and
a combination of the foregoing;
communicating input from the patient to the drug dispensing kiosk when the patient is co-located with the drug dispensing kiosk;
communicating, in response to the input from the patient when co-located with the drug dispensing kiosk, input from the drug dispensing kiosk to the pharmacist at the second location; and
communicating a dispense order to the drug dispensing kiosk, in response to input from the pharmacist, to dispense the new prescription to the patient from the drug dispensing kiosk.

A remotely located pharmacist video teleconferences with the patient via the patient'"'"'s smart phone to provide counseling about the prescribed pharmaceutical. The patient goes to the drug dispensing kiosk where the patient inputs information that is communicated to the control center. In response to the patient'"'"'s input, the remotely located pharmacist initiates a transmission to the control center. In response to receiving input from the remotely located pharmacist, the control center communicates an order to dispense the new prescription to the patient from the drug dispensing kiosk such that the order to dispense the new prescription to the patient from the drug dispensing kiosk is initiated by a human so as to be as a subjective dispensing decision.
