- inserting a catheter into a hollow anatomical structure, the catheter comprising;
a plurality of expandable arms;
wherein each of the plurality of expandable arms comprise;
an infusion lumen; and
at least one infusion port;
advancing the catheter and the plurality of expandable arms towards a target site;
expanding the plurality of expandable arms to a first diameter; and
delivering a first amount of fluid through the infusion lumen and the infusion port of each of the plurality of expandable arms;
wherein the fluid is configured to be delivered towards an undesirable material at the target site.

Abstract
A medical device system is provided herein which has an elongated, flexible hollow member with an expandable infusion segment attached at the most distal end of the device. The device has a plurality of fluid infusion ports on the expandable infusion segment for delivering an intended fluid to a target site in a body lumen. Additionally, a method is provided herein for infusing an intended fluid to a target site within a body lumen.

wherein each of the plurality of expandable arms comprise;an infusion lumen; and at least one infusion port; advancing the catheter and the plurality of expandable arms towards a thrombus material; expanding the plurality of expandable arms to a first diameter inside the thrombus material; and delivering a first amount of fluid through the infusion lumen and the infusion port of each of the plurality of expandable arms;
