Abstract

Provided is a method and device for searching for a service by a first device in a wireless communication system. According to the present invention, a first device may: establish a Bluetooth LE connection with a second device; receive, from the second device, a first message indicating whether to change a service supported by the second device; and search for at least one of a service and a characteristic of the service on the basis of the first message, wherein the first message includes a first value related to a change of the service supported by the second device and a second value related to a change of a characteristic value of the service.

Claims

1. A method for searching, by a first device, a service in a wireless communication, the method comprising:

forming a Bluetooth LE connection with a second device;

receiving, from the second device, a first message for indicating whether a service supported by the second device is changed; and

searching at least one of a service or a characteristic of the service based on the first message,

wherein the first message includes a first value related to a change of the service supported by the second device and a second value related to a change of a characteristic value of the service.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the searching includes

determining whether the service is changed based on the first value,

when the first value represents the change of the service, searching the changed service,

determining whether the characteristic value is changed based on the second value, and

when the second value represents the change of the characteristic value, searching the changed characteristic value.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein the first value is a first hash value representing the service, and

wherein the second value is a second hash value representing the characteristic value.

4. The method of claim 3, further comprising:

determining whether the first hash value or the second hash value is changed,

wherein when the first hash value is changed, the service represented by the first hash value is searched, and

wherein when the second hash value is changed, the service represented by the second hash value is searched.

5. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

searching a primary service supported by the second device; and

searching the characteristic value of the searched primary service.

6. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

transmitting, to the second device, a read request message for requesting reading of a characteristic value of a first characteristic for compatibility with the second device; and

receiving a read response message including a first characteristic value of the first characteristic in response to the read request message,

wherein the first characteristic value represents at least one function supported by the second device.

7. The method of claim 6, wherein the read request message includes a second characteristic value of a second characteristic for compatibility with the first device, and

wherein the second characteristic value represents at least one function supported by the first device.

8. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

transmitting, to the second device, a write request message for requesting writing of the first characteristic value of the first characteristic for compatibility with the first device,

wherein the first characteristic value represents at least one function supported by the first device; and

receiving a write response message including the second characteristic value of the second characteristic for compatibility with the second device in response to the write request message,

wherein the second characteristic value represents at least one function supported by the second device.

9. A first device for searching a service in a wireless communication, the first device comprising:

a communication unit which wirelessly or wiredly communicates with the outside; and

a processor functionally connected with the communication unit,

wherein the processor is configured to

form a Bluetooth LE connection with a second device,

receive, from the second device, a first message for indicating whether a service supported by the second device is changed, and

search at least one of a service or a characteristic of the service based on the first message, and

wherein the first message includes a first value related to a change of the service supported by the second device and a second value related to a change of a characteristic value of the service.

10. The first device of claim 9, wherein the processor is configured to

determine whether the service is changed based on the first value,

when the first value represents the change of the service, search the changed service, and

determine whether the characteristic value is changed based on the second value, and

when the second value represents the change of the characteristic value, further search the changed characteristic value.

11. The first device of claim 9, wherein the first value is a first hash value representing the service, and

wherein the second value is a second hash value representing the characteristic value.

12. The first device of claim 11, wherein the processor is configured to

determine whether the first hash value or the second hash value is changed,

when the first hash value is changed, search the service represented by the first hash value, and

when the second hash value is changed, search the characteristic value represented by the second hash value.

13. The first device of claim 9, wherein the processor is configured to

search a primary service supported by the second device, and

search the characteristic value of the searched primary service.

14. The first device of claim 9, wherein the processor is configured to

transmit, to the second device, a read request message for requesting reading of a characteristic value of a first characteristic for compatibility with the second device, and

receive a read response message including a first characteristic value of the first characteristic in response to the read request message, and

wherein the first characteristic value represents at least one function supported by the second device.

15. The first device of claim 14, wherein the read request message includes a second characteristic value of a second characteristic for compatibility with the first device, and

wherein the second characteristic value represents at least one function supported by the first device.

16. The first device of claim 9, wherein the processor is configured to

transmit, to the second device, a write request message for requesting writing of the first characteristic value of the first characteristic for compatibility with the first device,

wherein the first characteristic value represents at least one function supported by the second device, and

receive a write response message including the second characteristic value of the second characteristic for compatibility with the second device in response to the write request message,

wherein the second characteristic value represents at least one function supported by the second device.
